The zombies don’t spawn as often as they did on Outlast, maybe it was the location I was at? This was the Spores contract that’s by the market beneath Hadida Farms.
I also noticed that I didn’t get any Hell Hounds either but still works great for all other camo challenges outside of special zombies and works great for weapon lvl xp.

TBH, the BEST thing to do to grind camos is:
1. Do contracts.
It’s really that simple. All the contracts earn Gun XP, which helps level up guns. Whatever gun you have in your hands when you complete the contract, you get that XP bonus for that gun, so it levels up fast. The fastest contracts to complete are T1 contracts, especially HVT, Deliver Cargo, and Spore Control. If you drive around doing these, you can easily do 12-15 contracts in the 45min you have before extracting. With a 45min 2xp token on, you can level most guns up 60-75% of the way with one game.
The two contracts (Aether Extractors and Defend Ground Station) that have you facing off against Mercs are slightly annoying/more difficult, especially solo, but if you’re geared up a bit, they’re not too bad.
If you have a challenge for Hellhound kills, focus on Escort, Outlast, and Raid Weapon Stash contracts. Lots of dogs spawn in all three.
If you have a challenge for Mangler kills, focus on Escort contracts.
If you have a challenge for Mimic kills, focus on Infected Strongholds.
If you have a challenge for Disciple kills, focus on T2 Escort contracts, or just roam around T2 looking for them.
For challenges that require 100, 200, 250, 300 kills … 2-3 Escort contracts will earn the kills you need.
