I felt the exact same way loaded up my game after downloading the new update and was immediately attacked after driving 10 feet. I was like wtf did I do to you?” Then I saw what gang it was and went never mind. I know exactly what I did to you, and I don’t blame them at all.

One of the weak points of this game was that there was no spontaneity when roaming through the city, the constant tension will be a massive improvement.

Started my level 60 character, bought all the new bikes to test them out and see how the physics changed. Next thing I know I’ve had to fight off a horde of Bhargest, VDBs, Saka Ninjas, Maelstrom, and Tyger Claws in that order, all in the span of about 5 minutes.
On the plus side, it helped me decide whether I wanted to start fresh with the new patch or keep playing my current V.

Technique I started doing from the car jacking gigs was just to hack emergency brake on the chase cars and keep driving. Probably work similar here.

My favorite thing about car chases is that they actively try to run in to you. Like if they really want V dead, why waste time trying to use the gun and miss all the shots, just ram them with the car!

Installed the patch the moment it released and booted up the game. In my current playthrough I got one ending and wanted to see the other ending. The moment I booted up and hopped on a ride, Arasaka attacked me. One with mantis blades, one a heavy and two more.
Fended them off and a civilian driver drove over the mantis and heavies. Finished off what little health they had remaining. Got a shard that read it was payback for kidnapping Hanako.
Immediately got jumped by Voodoo boys who were here for revenge for Mama.
Sometime later, it was Malestorm ambushing me which was followed by Scavs.
Haven’t been ambushed by Tiger Claws, 6th street and Valentinos yet.
So, seems like this is related to the choices made in the story/missions.

Oh, they’re mad mad. I started a playthrough, and I’ve been doing a lot of dirt. Like 55 hours worth of dirt. If it’s retroactively going to aggro gangs, then I’m going to have to invest in a good SMG and dump some points into vehicle upgrades.
