The one on the right looks like it’s a comprehensive transit map that is everything from busses to regional light rail. The one on the left looks like a real subway.
The only criticism I would make of the one on the left is it feels.like there should be a line that cuts through those “voids” in the little of town, or is that faint, dark gray line another subway line?

With the addition of subways Night City becomes more walkable and therefore a better place to live than 99% of the USA. Hell my head canon for fast travel were busses so it was already way better given how much fast travel points (aka bus stops) there are.
Makes you wonder how wrong we went when Cyberpunk Dystopian City seems like a better place to live city planning wise than what some of us have. If you excuse gangs, widespread hard drug usage, corrupt cops, corporations having almost absolute power, synth meat slop etc. of course.
