Driving in Cyberpunk 2077 be like …

  1. The cars spin out if you so much as breath on the left analogue stick

Yeah what sucks is when El Capitan tells me I have to have a vehicle returned in 4 mins, I’m being attacked, and the off-road vehicle slides around like it’s driving on grease.

Is this just new old trend to bash game for driving? Or did they broke driving in last patches?

This shit here since day one and I never had ANY problems driving with gamepad, and KB is average at worst.

Beast’s got shit for traction for a 5 tonner.

It’s like I’m trying to drive a bar of wet soap

Because you are full throtlling constantly, do that IRL and you will see similar results.

Maybe try driving slower and chill on the gas a bit

This might be because I’ve been playing racing games since just out the womb but I’ve never had issues driving in CP2077, the muscle cars don’t have much grip and the luxury boats are floaty and soft but that’s accurate to the 60s-80s IRL cars they’re semi based on. Same thing with GTA4, makes getting a delivery right or escaping the cops so much more rewarding when you get it all right.

Manage how much throttle you are using at slow speeds and tight corners, mash the throttle on a 60s Charger through a hairpin IRL and you’ll get very similar results to doing the same thing with a Type 66 in game. Also remember the brake pedal exists.

Lot of coping about the driving here. *Look* at gameplay footage of a car turning in the game. It doesn’t turn on its wheels, it pivots around a point in the center. It’s fucking weird.

And people are posting clips of their driving saying “see nothings wrong.” But it looks whack af.

Just because you can get good at a shitty mechanic doesn’t mean it’s not shitty.

And I say this as someone who absolutely adores this game.

Y’all driving max speed and acting dumb shocked that your tires can’t keep traction like what

Am I the only one who has no issues with sliding?

It used to be arcadey as fuck back when the game first launched. I forgot what patch made the driving a lot more realistic, but it had to have been around 2021.

Try driving your real car as fast as you do in a game and see how it grips lol. Personally I think this is just because I drive 100+ mph everywhere in games

Idk whats wrong with the driving, but it doesn’t feel like ice to me.

And then mfs with 2000 hours on record got used to the bad driving system and say shit like “skill issue learn to drive”. Mf that’s not a racing game.

OP avoid playing any racing simulator his entire life. Imagine if this is hard for you?

at least Cyberpunk’s driving wasn’t like the Mass Effect 1 Mako sections that fucking thing handled like a beachball

The driving in this game makes perfect sense and i don’t understand the complaints about it. Most of the cars I’ve used have had believable loss of traction with speed, and are decently easy to control. If the control isn’t fine enough for you, then maybe it’s time to invest in a controller with variable shoulder buttons. ps4 controller works fine and has existed for so long
