It is sad that we won’t get anything great in cyberpunk again, maybe a few more updates but nothing crazy. But personally I’d rather them focus on making other games that come out with quality and not cyberpunk 2020 lol.

I doubt we’ll get one unfortunately, they seemed pretty committed to their plan when they said this was the first and last one. I imagine a lot of shifting around internally would have to happen to get back the resources for another one.
Buuuut… it’s sold really well, and generated a ton of positive buzz, so I really, really, hope they change their minds. It’s not impossible!

I doubt it’ll happen but I would certainly be ecstatic about it. But I’m also really looking forward to Orion, I hope it doesn’t take painfully long. But if that’s what they gotta do to make it incredible at launch, then so be it. I doubt they will try to rush it again. They made an absolutely incredible comeback but I’m sure they’re gonna try and avoid that this time around
If it was over, why wouldn’t he just come out and say “PL will have been our only expansion” or something along those lines?
If I had to guess, I’d say that CDPR is currently unsure on how to handle the IP moving forward. On the one hand, they probably want to put their resources to work elsewhere but on the other hand they probably also don’t wanna lose all the momentum they have gained since launch, seeing how a sequel would currently be years off.

As sad as it is to move on, every expansion puts the sequel further away and I’ve played nearly the same content 6 times. I’m ready and happy to let modders work on content while the next one develops.

CDPR definitely knows every fan who’s begging for an expansion right now will be just as hyped for a sequel as soon as there’s a teaser trailer.
