As someone who struggles to read subway lines irl, I’m happier with the final product than that early concept.

At this point we should just be grateful for what we have. Still supporting the game at this point is legendary
NostalgicAdvice
it is what it is, and we’re lucky we’re getting features 3 yrs later
X-Craft
Given the size of the city the first one would be impractical. It’d be one stop every block
Key_Cherry_3064
Early concepts or CGI trailer?
Confuzed_Elderly
Its so like real life where public transport plans get gutted because of political shenanigans. I imagine the early concepts are what Richard Night wanted and throughout corruption and city stability over years this is what the city got.
rabbit_vr
While the first one is more “realistic” I am glad the second one is implemented. Makes it a lot easier to navigate

Four days ago, my attention was caught by the rails that are in the current version of the game (I think its path is the same as in the screen ) and on which trains sometimes run. So i spent few hours doing parkour with double jump and found a way to get on these rails (they are above almost all roads, with flying car mod it would be easier) and i found one spot where station will be. I will make a new post how in current version train station look like.

Don’t care the metro is here!!
punk_petukh
Moscow metro vs Saint-Petersburg metro
Marmeladun
Cut out of a CGI trailer =\= early concept
Peculiar-Wizard808
As long as it takes me from one side of the city to the other, I’m good. And if you look closely at the new one, it appears there are more lines dimmed down under the highlighted ones.
TheCockKnight
Yeah well I don’t think I want a subway system that complicated in my game lol
scungilliboy
I’m just so fucking happy we’re getting one at all, I know it seems a like a dumb thing but I’m legit excited about a tram system coming to a video game lmao.
Phigor
The first one looka like a nightmare to navigate
supermegaampharos
Is the in-game city even large enough for that many stops?
The “real” Night City might have all those subway stops, but the version we have in-game seems way too small to accommodate that many.
ShitassAintOverYet
Istanbul resident here. Trust me, you don’t want clusterfuck of a metro…especially in a video game.
AprilRyanRet
That first one looks like the T in Boston.
StalinkaEnjoyer
Now post screenshots of the prerendered CGI trailer versus what the game actually looks like, with the implication that we should be mad that the game doesn’t look like a pre-rendered cutscene at all times
HelloChimp
Why are you just lying? That image has never been presented as an actual concept of its implementation to the game
Death-0
And this is okay
Moltar_Returns
Man who cares, just be happy for once, they added a cool thing that’s not very necessary but its implementation will make people happy.
Dankspear
Actually glad they changed it, the map looks completely different and there’s way too many stops on the first one
furious_bastard
I like it. Reminds me of the Glasgow underground system.

Listen a capitalist dystopia isn’t going to have a proper functioning public transit system. Look at literally every American city.
