Most people don’t “need” the specs they have in their systems, it’s ok to get specs that makes you happy because you “want” them just the same.

If you can afford it there’s no such thing as too much power. Spending the big bucks now means you won’t have to upgrade for a very long time. Maybe it’s overkill now but in a few years even this will be considered mid-tier
If you aren’t going to be streaming, rendering videos, 3d modeling work, and other productivity tasks, then you do not need to get the 13900KF. All those cores won’t matter for gaming. You would be fine with a 13400 or 13600. Other than that, it’s good for 1440p and even 4K.
The 13900k is kind of overkill, you could have saved some money, got a 13700k and got for the most part the same results. Everything else looks fine.

I9 is too much for that 4070, i5 or i7 is enough. Youll more than likely get a crappy M-ATX mobo , ram, psu ,and nvme. 13900k is better
I have a 4090 GPU with a i9 13900k. All I play is Fortnite and cyberpunk here and there at the moment. It’s not what you need it’s what you want. I wanted it, I got it. I couldn’t care less what PC people tell me what I don’t need. My money, my choice.
So therefore, F what your brother says. You want it, you wanted to pay for it, you got it.
I mean if you only have a 1080p monitor this build is over kill.
the CPU is overkill other than that I see no issues.

Only thing is the processor being “overkill” for gaming but I’m sure it will pay off in coming years and not needing an upgrade for a while but if you’re happy with it , you’re happy with it. Also what does he know that you don’t need something this powerful? It’s none of his business what you play on…sounds like jealousy.
I don’t understand why many are shiting on the brother. Maybe he knows that the game you play dose not need this high level end pc and you could have gone for something cheeper and still got the same results

That cpu needs super good cooling. For less you could have had a ryzen & 7800txt. Check out boost my build on YouTube. He panned nearly this same combo.

GPU bottleneck for sure, and mostly people couldn’t use a 2.5 Gb Ethernet to its full potential, but that’s a nice “future proof” PC you got there. It’ll be very good for a decent amount of time.
