They are literally releasing Complete/Ultimate edition in 4 days. Releasing another expansion after that would be weird.
The only reason I can see for that to happen is that their transition to Unreal Engine is delayed for some technical/licensing reason and they have to keep their employees busy with work on current engine.

The thing that stood out to me in the livestream was one of the ladies referred to phantom liberty as ep1 which it was named in the leaks. It’s so far passed you would think they wouldn’t still be using that if PL was really the only expansion pack. Welp back to FF:06:B5

Eh I think it’s a big long shot that we’ll see another expansion they said a few times that they would not be working on anymore story content for CP2077 which is kind of a shame… but who knows they may reconsider but don’t really see that happening.

I’m sure the folks over at CDPR are humbled by the overwhelmingly positive reception *Phantom Liberty* got and in a perfect world, I bet they’d love to flesh out *Cyberpunk 2077* with more huge expansions but it would be an absolute logistical nightmare for them to continue working on these projects of massive scope with REDengine.
They’ve already established a new studio in Boston with the explicit purpose of working on the next game in the franchise; utilising Unreal Engine. As unfortunate as it is, to take all their eggs out of that basket and put them back into the old one makes no sense.

Considering how well our 3rd quarter did with PL, I wouldn’t be surprised by small additions here and there.
Honestly the move to UE5 will be good for both CDPR and fans. Partnering with Nvidia and Epic games will make W4 and CP2 a benchmark in quality.
