they also just released a dlc for a game they spent like 2 years trying to fix…

I’m not an investor or financial expert, but the lower CDPR’s stock goes, the more money I’ll make when I cash out when Witcher 4 releases. I’m very smaht.
Ak_19_thedude
They’ve really earned our hearts.
dracobatman
I’m fuckin down for mote 2077 content! This game has been amazing since day 1 to me and it just keeps getting better
soylentblueispeople
Is this going to fix the zombie glitch? I kind of like that. It’s like after you kill someone their cyberware keeps activating like a chicken with its head cut off.
dzikinapinacz
It is not for free. Good reputation sell games too and it works for many years in the future.

I wouldn’t call it free. I think they’re using Cyberpunk 2077 as a brainstorm project so when they start the sequel, they’ll already have Established Ideas and Systems to add to it.
corn_syrup_enjoyer
Not for free. Those who wanted to buy cyberpunk but were discouraged by that mess of an initial release will have a reason to buy it now.
doblad
pretty nice of them but they don’t need to stop after that, more is appreciate.

The devs got all my admiration and respect.

I know it won’t happen but I would love a Cyberpunk game or DLC that uses the existing Night City assets and lets you play as a created character and functions more as an RPG or life sim.
No main quest, just a bunch of gigs, and ways to work up different gang/corpo ladders. More immersive elements like public transport, apartments, restaurants, etc.

2.0 is how the game should have released, it was rush out the door and clearly needed to cook for at least another year. A rushed game will always be bad but a delayed one will eventually be good
Critical_Vegetable96
They’re playing the long game in trying to rebuild customer trust before their next release.
Glockamole19x
Id do go brrrr 🤣 that it does
Sheistyblunt
Okay but it’s good for long term sales
unicornmeat85
I dont know how much this is true and actually hurts them, but it serves the investors right for pushing a release when it was clear the game wasn’t ready
Perfect_Exercise_232
This is just to fix their reputation 100%%
SuperbEmphasis2074
For free lol the game sales after PL went through the roof xD
The_wulfy
Besides the Paradox lineup, the only other games I know of that have had such a long support cycle is Mechwarrior 5.

As much much criticism as CDPR got for Cyberpunk’s launch, they at least deserve credit for putting out continued content without charging extra (aside from Phantom Liberty). Compare that to other open-world RPG developers who charge doe every piece of expandable content and charge you full-price just to give you the ability to mod it and actually make it fun.
ChaosDemonLaz3r
content that should’ve been in the game at launch.
asayys
If only Bethesda and Microsoft had a similar stance to Starfield, you already know they abandoned ship and leaving that one up to the modders.

I mean it’s being released along side the ultimate edition it may be fee for existing players but it’s definitely intended to increase sales
