I catch so many people because of their laser sights in resurgence and have the jump on them, leading to my win in majority of gunfights with someone who has a laser.

On a sniper rifle, you already have glint so it doesn’t matter but the ADS speed is beneficial IMO. On a longer range AR, I think the ADS benefit is also worth it, as well as some stability.

Close Combat tho, no reason to use it. SMGs already ADS fast enough

Either they notice that the lasers have good stats, or a Youtube meta video told them to put it on. They are great attatchments minus the issue with being always visible.

Ads speed reduction, aiming stability improvement, sprint to fire improvement, or hip fire accuracy improvement. Lots of reasons!

However, a lot of the lasers are very visible and have lots of pros and people pick them without thinking about how extremely visible they are ingame. If you want a laser, its better to pick one of the weaker ones so your position isn’t given away.

I think it’s user preference. I like using the canted laser because I like to feel like a boss and I find it easy to use.

So when someone is pushing my building they see those two lasers of an akimbo pistol waiting for them. Trust me they get second thoughts.

The attachment pros are more important than it’s con of visibility. Although depending on the instance and playstyle it can be more detrimental than helpful. If you play like a pusher and you have a high visibility hipfire accuracy laser on the tradeoff is purposeful, you wanna be always moving and fighting, makes the issue of its visibility less noticeable on smgs. But if your someone who just camps in a corner or runs off in a fight then hides in a corner hard scoping or just waiting in hipfire where you expect them to come from then the laser is a complete giveaway and becomes more detrimental, giving intel to throw tacticals/lethals or at least try to move/outplay your pre-aim. AA really make this less important than its ever been so still not a huge issue but it’s possible to do.

That said it shouldnt be NEARLY as hard visible as it is. Its just 1 more thing they absolutely messed up to epic levels. It’s SO visible you can see it 100m+ away in broad daylight. There may be lasers that do this in real life, but just like alot of the realism they deploy in this game its not meant for a video game shooter to this level.

I’ve run a hipfire build and had teammates sniping and wondering why they can see my hipfire laser 100m out cuz its throwing them off thinking it’s someone else’s laser.

I’ve wondered this myself. On my SMGs I always use the one that gives you +ADS speed with no laser and no drawbacks. It’s one of the first ones.

The visible laser ones, especially the VLK, are much much better stat-wise, but the visible laser is a hard no.

I miss when lasers didn’t give away positions, i stopped using them for the most part, i usually use an ADS grip instead even though it’s a little slower

because there a good attachment that increases ads speed and reduces bullet spread lmao

Because they’re amazing for aggressive play, fast ADS and tight hipfire, used them on most SMGs… great for getting in peoples face, don’t care about the visibility.

They’re defeating the purpose of using a laser for faster ADS speed if they’re aiming down their sights to peak corners or to catch someone pushing towards them.

And canted laser sights makes ur gun take up less space on your screen.

FYI, in case it hasn’t been mentioned, you can even see the “invisible” lasers if you’re using a thermal sight.

They give you a ton of handling benefits with no negative other than someone can see my laser. I’m moving 90% of the time, so it doesn’t matter if someone sees my laser.
