While installing an ekwb water block to my 4090 FE it appears a VRM inductor broke at the base of the metal connecting to the PCB. While attempting to boot I got error d6 on my ASUS mobo meaning no gpu detected.

Is it screwed or can I get a soldering iron and hope for the best? Any help is appreciated. (Yes I’m an idiot for breaking it, but for now just plz help me fix it)

yeah you should just be able to solder it back down, just make sure to flow the joint properly and probably isolate the sub components around it with some kapton tape.

Yeah that will be easy as fuck to fix. I once broke off the super tiny resistor on the back of the board and after the 100th or so attempt decided to empty a full mag on that board. That thing gave me fucking hell literally. Hats off to those who do that shit for a living though
