I have a 1060 6gb that I won’t need and I went to look how much it’s worth and it’s ridiculous, I don’t get it.
These cards arent manufactured anymore so these are just resellers. Go on ebay or facebook marketplace to check prices. On another note, don’t buy a 3060, get a 6700xt instead.

these sellers are using high rating for a product that has been out for along time so it has good visibility and low inventory (bc they not being made anymore) to make sales at higher prices.

in all reality they aren’t worth more than a few hundred bucks. and you would be investing $ into a product already obsolete
Just get a used one, I got one for 60 bucks a few days ago with the box, and display port and hdmi plugs still in. Works just fine. Just a temporary solution while I fix the 3060 that was delivered kaput.
3rd party sellers hoping idiots buy them, but then again paying $419 for a 3060 is also dumb if your only going to be gaming!
I got my 7800xt at msrp on release you are getting skull fucked on a 419 3060

You should check out gamers nexus recent video on best bang for buck gpu. I’d recommend looking into rx 6800xt at about $470 USD it seems to be best bang for buck here right now as it trades blows with 7800xt and 4070.
I got a 3060 12 gb i could sell for 200 canadian if that gekps things dont get the 1060

Everything else are wierd new shops that only showed up during the pandemic and crypto boom. These prices are old scalper price of back then.

Note that the price of entry for modern game gaming without compromise is now way higher.
I personally have issue recommending anything under 4070/7800 xt for modern gaming. what ever your monitor is 1080p or 1440p.
3060 12go going to be stuck at medium-low setting for getting any *playable* fps ( 40-60) on A lot of game at 1080p.
I have a 7900 xt that i paid 1100 cad. and Alan wake 2 made me regret my choice of not just going with the 4080 for 400 more. Path-tracing capable gpu is something definitely worth it. When its come to fully enjoy these high fidelity game that start to show up.
It’s gone the time when you could get a really decent GPU for cheap that run everything in high-ultra.
Nvidia is going to release New Super GPU soon also. so current gen gpu price are going to fall down a bit. realy dont buy anything except if you realy have a hardcore black friday deal. and what ever you are going to buy, be ready to have nearly the same experience that your 1060. except tha you are going to have 10 fps instead of 5.
