Someones salty. I guess your parents never loved you that much so its not your fault 😭.

  2. Happiness_First

More like the post on reddit to try and get upvotes, “first PC what do you guys think?” type build.

I dunno lil Timmy, I didnt know it was a different PC from the last 7 I saw in 15 minutes but Im happy for you.

  3. AllYallThrowaways

“I too bought my first pre-build at Best Buy”

  4. pc_banana

Either this or a GT710 “gaming pc” with a picture of the Fortnite logo in the listing photos their parents found on Walmart

  5. Chakramer

Maybe 1 in a couple thousand kids who PC games gets this kind of treatment. Not many parents are going to drop $3k+ on a setup for a kid

Also no kids setup is that clean, that takes dedication and work. Can’t just buy that from a store, and honestly if a kid makes their setup look that nice, they deserve it.

  6. Shibes_oh_shibes

My sons rigs basically. Guess it’s one of the percs having a gamer dad.

  7. widowhanzo

Meanwhile my kiddo has upgraded from G4560 to my old 4790K last year, it was a noticeable performance increase in Minecraft, and the GTX1050 is still fine for now.

  8. SatisfactionNo240

Im 15, and i got a job on a farm so i can work for my pc

  9. Legion070Gaming

This subreddit ruined that phase for me.

i MowEd 5 lAwNs anyways here is my 4090 build with intel 14900k

    Not fooling anyone lol

I have the same liquid cooler as it’s cheap.

  11. Wrongdoer3162

true and real kekw. majority of gamer kids these days are omega spoiled due to their parents being soft on them. back in my day in the 90s, i had to work to get most of my pc parts without leeching of my parents omegalul. shame that companies and devs are lowkey targeting the lazy generation now fr bruh.

  12. ilovfryes

My 1060 is spoiled. And I’m happy about it.

Now that I’m an adult I have machines capable of actually playing video games. My entire childhood I was rocking crappy laptops with integrated graphics, still better than nothing tho lol.

  14. SeafoamedGreen

You forgot “monitor still set to 60 hz.”

  15. JamieDrone

Lmao I play my games on an Asus ROG G75VW that I got used from my uncle for 100$

It has an Intel Core i7 3610QM and an Nvidia GTX660M, 16GB of RAM and weighs like 10 pounds

  16. Systemlord_FlaUsh

    WHat 13 yo gets a 4090?

Get on my level, I played on a Geforce 6150 Go (64 MB) and then a HD2400 Pro 256 GB when I was that age. We used to turn off Xfire and Skype when playing and didn’t voicechat to get better FPS. Sometimes you would even get 30-40 FPS on lowest settings in CoD4 like that.

It’s a shame how many “first build” posts here are just builds that look all the same, a bit of a hot take, but holy shit are top end builds not interesting.
Oh you wanna build a midrange pc?
Alright, you can go with a 6700xt, 6600, 3060, 4060, 3060ti, and I won’t even mention cpus because you can get consumer cpus, BUT you can be the cool kid and get an old server/workstation cpu for incredibly cheap! My build gets cpu bottlenecked sometimes, but only in games where say, 60% gpu usage is more than enough for a great framerate. Where it matters, in modern games like cyberpunk, it works!
And look, I’m not shaming people for having top end builds but..Are they all really different people? Different builds? Doesn’t even seem like it.
I’m pretty darn confident my xeon e5 2698v3/6700xt build is the only one like that in the entire fucking world, and guess how much I paid for it? Like 500$.

  18. NoStructure5034

Don’t forget the 60Hz refresh rate!

  19. MrStoneV

    “I paid for it”

How did you pay for it? You are 13…

Well I sold my belongings and bought it with my own money.

How did you get the money for the belongings?

“I got them as a present”

…turns out he will barely change this annoying behavior

  20. Sasquatchzrevenge

More like spoiled ex wife who took the build I purchased for her 😂

  21. Toiletpaperplane

That’s the same PC dad’s build for their 9 year old to play Minecraft and Roblox.

  22. itsokayimhandsome2

Its not much but thanks to my mommy and daddy pack.

  23. Vendetta_Silverfox

Jealousy runs high, and I agree with some comments here, there’s really few kids that’ll actually get this kind of treatment. It’s either because the kid got good grades or they did achieved something that the rich parents think the kid deserves, although that aside, I am still jealous on how some very few kids can get the top of a line setup without saving up for years and doing their own work.

  24. forsayken

Any dads in here use their children as excuses to upgrade their own PCs and pass down the parts? haha. Guilty. Very guilty.

And Fortnite at 1080p feels personal at this point. But 144FPS+ is important!

  25. mincemuncher

Mean while me at 27 upgrading my old rig from a HDD and gtx 660 to a sata SSD and a rx 580 8gb.

  26. SaltyPvP

I just got my first rig since the early 2000’s. I7 6700, gtx 1060 6g lol. I paid $350 for it, and it runs everything I need.

The 1060 card has had quite the lifespan, it’s amazing what games it can still play.
