Hello SniperFiction, and thank you for your submission to Gaming PC! If you are new please check out our rules over at the wiki [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/gamingpc/wiki/rules)!
We have recently added the useful feature of Title Flair! You can set this manually by clicking Flair under your post once you have submitted your post, but if you missed it in the rules there is a much better way that will automatically flair your post!

To do this simply add what your post is about in brackets before your title. For example for a Build Log you can type [Build Log] before your post so that it looks like this; [Build Log]My new awesome build!, and the bot will automatically set your flair to Build Log! This works for Build Log, Build Showcase, News, Hardware News, Hardware Release, Discussion, and Miscellaneous!

Also remember that this is a place for discussing and sharing our love of Gaming Computers! This is NOT the place for help building or determining what parts you should buy, that is better suited for /r/buildapc. Troubleshooting questions should be directed to /r/techsupport. Thank you again!

*I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please [contact the moderators of this subreddit](/message/compose/?to=/r/gamingpc) if you have any questions or concerns.*

  2. Anything with the xx50 series from Nvidia is absolute garbage, avoid it like the plague. AT LEAST get a 60 series if you’re going to go that route.

    >Hoping it will last around at least 8 to 10 years

Do you mean 8-10 years of modern gaming? Because that isn’t going to fly for <$1k. You’ll still be able to play *todays* games in that time but probably not AAA titles.

Save up a bit more and get something with a 4070 or 3080 if you want 5+ years.

    >Heard worrying things about gaming laptops

Like what? Anything taken care of will last. If you dust it out occasionally and re-apply thermal paste after a year or so it’ll be fine. You just can’t upgrade it past storage and RAM.

If you have an actual reason to get a laptop, go that route. If you just want to play games at home, get a desktop. That way you can at least piecemeal upgrades.

Take a look in [this thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/buildmeapc/comments/148ammi/looking_to_build_a_gaming_pc_under_1000/). Build a PC. It’s actually very easy and there are TONS of videos to walk you through it.

    Edit:

I found [this](https://www.amazon.com/Strix-Liquid-Cooled-Gaming-Keyboard/dp/B0C2JL3HGP) on Amazon and it’s a decent deal.
