When you can’t afford a heater bc you spent $4,000 on a pc so you have to now leave a game running @4k max settings overnight to avoid freezing

If you really want to make your pc a space heater, cryptomine something. Or run a test benchmark nonstop like furmark that pushes the gpu/cpu to max.

You know a heater is like $50 CAD right, I understand it’s a joke but a bad one

run folding@home, it will heat your room equally effectively and you can help find a cure for cancer.

i use all the spare processing power of the epyc 7402 in my server for F@H and its quite an effective space heater, your gaming rig has a GPU which is probably even more effective, both at heating and folding.

This is actualy good idea. I use my laptop like this at dorm

  5. Next problem: you spent too much on the cooling solution inside the case so now it’s not actually outputting that much heat

Wtf did you buy, that’s like 4 reasonably powerful PCs

My 2500 bucks pc is so cooled, it produces more cold than heat. The only thing I could heat the room by is to run some Furmark. So, yeah, the joke is not the best one, sorry

This is funny because my room is always extremely hot, even with open windows, door and cieling fan running.
I took my pc to repair because of overheating, and now even without the fan turned on, my room is really cold.

    Nah,

    Mine some currency,
    Do folding@home.

Or do both and Mine gridcoin.

Both make your PC a good heater and give you some value.

    No Need for a heater.

And, shut down your Monitor that time.

You can play RDR2 maxed out on a 600$ pc

  11. Man, that game runs on potatoes. It was released over 4 years ago.
