The **Afterlife** is a **mortuary** converted into a club for the merc **underworld**. To continue the theme, it was divided into three different areas: the **Antechamber**, the **Crypt**, and **Hades** (ancient Greek god of the **dead** and the **underworld**). The **Afterlife** is “where the who’s who of mercs and first-rate fixers gather to kick back or conduct biz.”
Just like the **Afterlife** – the **Heavy Hearts** Club is also a place where people go to do biz. It has that same green neon glow, too. Now here’s the coolest part of it all – the club is an embodiment of Ancient Egypt. It has holographic sphynx cats, bartenders who look like Cleopatra, but most importantly – its exterior is akin to the ancient Egyptian pyramids – grand **tombs** where the royalty and those who served it were **buried**. The name of the club – **Heavy Hearts** – is referring to the ancient Egyptian rite where the **heart** of the **dead** was **weighed** against the feather of Ma’at (ancient Egyptian goddess of truth, balance, justice…). If the scales were balanced – the person that passed would be granted passage into the **afterlife**. It was believed that the **heart** carried the **weight** of all the deeds of a person in life, both good and bad.
