Unless you use your pc to watch DVD movies there’s not really a need for a drive bay that’s why most cases nowadays don’t have a way to install a DVD player bought a portable one in case I needed a DVD player for something I have never used it though

That’s cool, didn’t think that the newer cases even offered externally accessible 5.25 drive bays.

Probably one of the reasons why I’m staying with my older case, lol.

  4. ODD’s are still very convenient to have, especially a burner for making backups.

How is it not needing *two* sata power extensions just to use it?

When I last had one, the HDD cage and the location of the dvd drive did not go together, nor did I have extra sata power to run up there.

Can you burn me a copy of Linkin Park’s numb.mp3.exe?

    Fractal pop air?

I have the same hidden space but never thought I could put a dvd drive in there 🤔

    Nice idea thanks

So many cases could easily have a space for a slimline tray or slot loading drive, however this fractal pop air is good looking case either way!

Looks cool. Are there more modern versions these days?

Some may say it’s dated but I like the concept of still being able to use a disc for things like music, movies ect.

I have to hook up my old PC just to play some of my old games on disk, anyone know of a good cheap PC case with a disk drive slot for a micro ATX, I’ve been needing to get a new case anyway

What’s it like to insert cds in a computer. It’s been ages since I’ve had to.

How’s your CRT monitor holding up?

  17. Hey OP, don’t want to ruin your uniqueness, but a PC I use as my server has an LG BD writer in it!

It has never seen a BD.

I’ve been using an exterior cd player/burner for at least 100 years now. I hated how much room they ate in my case.
