You can score a 3080 for $400 secondhand, or pay 3x that for the 40 series equivalent. I went with the former. And despite this ludicrous 4080 price they are still flying off the shelves. Gamers probably have the most consumerist spending habits out of any demographic in the world.
No matter how much complaining there is about the 40 series prices, no matter how much tech youtubers rip Nvidia a new asshole for the 40 series’ abhorrent pricing and price hikes, gamers still *buy.*
