Hello Shrekwest69, and thank you for your submission to Gaming PC! If you are new please check out our rules over at the wiki [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/gamingpc/wiki/rules)!
We have recently added the useful feature of Title Flair! You can set this manually by clicking Flair under your post once you have submitted your post, but if you missed it in the rules there is a much better way that will automatically flair your post!

To do this simply add what your post is about in brackets before your title. For example for a Build Log you can type [Build Log] before your post so that it looks like this; [Build Log]My new awesome build!, and the bot will automatically set your flair to Build Log! This works for Build Log, Build Showcase, News, Hardware News, Hardware Release, Discussion, and Miscellaneous!

Also remember that this is a place for discussing and sharing our love of Gaming Computers! This is NOT the place for help building or determining what parts you should buy, that is better suited for /r/buildapc. Troubleshooting questions should be directed to /r/techsupport. Thank you again!

*I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please [contact the moderators of this subreddit](/message/compose/?to=/r/gamingpc) if you have any questions or concerns.*

2 issues here. It’s underpowered and it’s not a PC.

Mac in general is shitty for gaming, and even if it was a windows or Linux machine it’s way too weak to do anything with

Best upgrade is to buy something else.

Not only is it full of old parts, it’s incredibly difficult to upgrade with risks to damaging the screen on it as you have to cut it’s adhesive to get at anything.

Apple deliberately made it nigh on impossible to service, repair or upgrade for consumers.

An example of opening it up to access the RAM, CPU and even the disk drive above.

    Edit:

Also this base model that you are looking at they even removed the SSD onboard connector as another anti-consumer move!

Mac doesn’t support the vast majority of gaming anyway, but the smaller form factor of an iMac means lower thermal headroom. So the exact same parts will perform more poorly in that machine than they would in an equivalent PC.

    In short, hell no.

This 2019 iMac is about on par with a 2016 entry-level gaming PC. I’d buy something more current for the money.

Intel i3 and 2GB’s of video memory? I mean, it’ll run snake.

  8. Systemlord_FlaUsh

Its a Core i3 and a Radeon 555M, which is likely some RX 550 derivate. If you define AOE II to be solid that may run, maybe even LoL or CSGO on low, but for me that wouldn’t be solid.

It hurts even more when I consider this was sold 2019 for probably an overprice without a SSD.

The i3 (likely 10/11th gen) is fine, but the 555x is really lame. You definitely want to get Windows installed if you want to maximize performance and compatibility.

Macs are great for graphic design and video editing as well as other to tasks, but unfortunately they are not made for gaming

Apple does have an App called Apple Arcade where you subscribe for a monthly fee and can play some games on it, so if you already bought it, look into that
