I like it. It can be fun, and is an excellent way to kick back and relax with some friends just looting or helping out randoms.

Definitely needs some work though to be perfect, and I would say a round-based map or maybe Onslaught, just some kind of other mode will be a fantastic addition for the sake of variety.

If its going to be the main mode for the year, it really better start receiving major updates to get it on par with DMZ.

I like it. Needs more time. Or no time limit. Or an hour for each tier with tier 1 inaccessible after 1 hour tier 2 after two hours and after 3 hours an exfil from tier 3. I prefer no limit. But all round it’s good.

  3. Jojo-the-sequel

i like the concept, its a great step forward to make outbreak-style zombies better.

    however there are many issues that need to be adressed that kills the COD zombies feeling;

-timer sucks ass, needs to be removed or extended

-contracts need to be reworked, never in a zombie have i ever felt that zombies are more of nuisance than the centerpoint of the gamemode but with MWZ i do and it kinda kills the formula for me, no rounds? fair. little to no points by killing zombies? this is where they fucked up

-AI soldiers have more accuracy than in DMZ, nibba u supposed to be killing zombies

  4. djereezy

It’s fun with friends. Solo queueing is lame.

  5. NYG_2020

I think it is terrible tbh. It is DMZ from the previous CoD reskinned with zombies. The map is made for Warzone, so half of your game is spent driving around doing nothing. No rounds makes it feel like I’m playing for no reason. Only reason I’m playing now is to rank up guns for attachments.

It could be really good, but the damage and points scaling for the zombies in comparison to looting or contracts takes the focus of a zombies mode away from actually killing zombies for me, that and the time limit kills the interest because there’s so many things you could be doing but never all in one game. The perks also seem a little lackluster compared to what we had in Cold War in my opinion. When playing solo the time limit is really what kills my enjoyment the most, I have to gather a bunch of stuff and escape alive to go back in, gather more stuff, escape alive, and repeat until I get to a good point damage scaling wise to enjoy the experience, but usually something stupid like a server crash or mercenary can wipe you and your inventory out on a whim.
TLDR: it’s not zombies, it’s DMZ with zombies features in it imo

Completely different to the Treyarch standard, but a welcome change

I think with how popular Zombie Army 4 has been, it made sense that MWZ brought a 3rd person view to the table.

The game is great – it’s not warzone, it’s not traditional Treyarch zombies; it’s something in-between.

Fun to play, but there are issues with the game crashing, which hopefully will be fixed in time.

  8. FormedBoredom

Aside from crashing it’s great. Love playing solo and love leveling weapons and unlocking shit without having to sweat my dick off in multiplayer

  9. IPotatoForHireI

Gut. Chill. If they fix crashing/server boots its gon be even better.

  10. jman8508

I like the mode but fuck the mercs. They’re way too OP. On shot clears off 3 armor plates. Even on tier 1 it’s almost impossible to run a contract solo if they’re involved.

  11. SheepSurfz

Dying is more impactful, it feels like I have something to lose if I’ve pulled a nice gun or have acquired a schematic other than a couple of rounds – not dissing round based zombies, I think these two modes can exist independently

  12. _LoulouLeFilou

Playing Zombie since the first Black Ops, played every zombie since.
Honestly, story is still shit : No original things, no crazy stuff like Aether storyline, very boring and “military”.
Gameplay is fun, it’s different from what we know but it’s fun. The “DMZ” side of it make it greatly replayable (if you ignore crash and disconnect).

From an open minded OG Zombie player, it’s a YES.

PS : sorry for bad english

  13. michaljerzy

I loved outbreak. I think this is a worse version of outbreak. I think the difficulty ramp up is too fast and not enough time to build up for it.

  14. BecauseBatman01

It’s addicting. Really fun. And a fun alternate way to camo grind.

This is what I wanted out of MP to just sit back and have dun. MP has sbmm which makes matches very stressful.

This game mode I can kick back and relax and work towards contracts, rewards, and camos. And it can get intense with certain missions.

  15. Strict-Pound-483

It’s a welcomed change. As someone who was a pre-teen when world at war dropped it was amazing and the start of something beautiful. Over the years the game mode kind of lost that beauty to me. I didn’t have the time nor did I enjoy aimlessly training zombies, activating traps and repairing windows for hours. Once I complete an Easter egg that’s pretty much it for me, I don’t get the urge to do them over and over. I like this new direction, it’s fresh and something different. With round based you feel like you’re trapped in some sort of simulation or whatever, in this one I feel free. Imo it feels a bit more like a real zombie apocalypse, it’s a whole city over run by them. Don’t really mind not making much points from killing zombies because we have contracts and that’s the whole point. The time limit is somewhat of an issue but not entirely considering you’re meant to be extracting with good loot, your bag can only hold so much. But I do believe it could be twice as long for those who just wanna mess around or really explore the map and look for things. As far as improvements I’d like to see a bit more variety in regards to contracts and elites. As it stands they can become very repetitive very quick. More contracts that involve mercs would be nice too. As it stands the camps are too small for my liking and too spaced out. Want more merc activity. Yes they delete your plates in one shot, I know, it sucks. But once you know how to engage them and they don’t catch you by surprise, it’s really fun lighting them up. Also world events and what not would be a great addition along with all the bosses from the Haunting event we had in DMZ. Would also like a darker map in the future similar to ones we had in the past. As it stands im loving it and having a great time, if they were smart they’d continue to update and improve this experience. Genuinely the most fun I’ve had in zombies in years. Also, a good reliable squad makes all the difference, that’s like half the fun right there lol

I want to like it but it carries over too many things I personally hate about DMZ, namely the time limit and insured weapon slots.

  17. ManVersusMan90

I think it’s excellent but there are certain improvements that need to be made. Biggest one for me is the timer. 45 minute match time and then 15 minute grace period to exfil is simply not enough in my opinion. I’ve seen many suggestions to increase match time and they all sound wonderful. Either make easier tiers uninhabitable after a certain time or just double from 45 minutes to 90 minutes but either way, that needs to be addressed.

Another improvement is letting us exfil with at least some power up. When the game first came out I was a little annoyed that we don’t keep gun rarity, PAP, or any perks. But eventually I accepted that this is a good thing because then the game is just too easy and that gets boring quick. But we should be able to keep at least 1 of those 3. Either let us keep rarity, PAP or the perks. Because otherwise we have to continually rush to get set up in the Match.

  18. ratflower406

My opinion is simple as this. There is fun to be had.

  19. Alphagreen_97

I got bored after 8+ runs. It’s just extremely mid. Not the quality I expect from a Juggernaut franchise like CoD.

  20. I have not personally played it so the gameplay I don’t think anything of, but the font choice on the UI of this game pisses me off every time I see it. It’s such a terrible looking font

  21. nerf-me-ubi

To say nothing of having your armor insta cracked by getting one pistol to the by a merc so you spend your whole time replating. Almost feels like your playing warzone…..

  22. tameimpalakid

It is amazing. I was getting very bored of round based zombies, and can always go back to Black Ops 3 Zombie Chronicles for that classic experience.

Love the mission system, love that I can get unique camos and level my weapons to then use in multiplayer, love the teamwork and squad system. I like the zone system as well, but a little more time would be nice.

  23. Heath_tK

I like it for the most part. However I think the humans are too strong and the difficulty spike from zones 2-3 is way larger than 1-2 and I feel like im doing nothing even with T3 Pap
