doesn’t seem terrible for $600 with an RX 6700 in it, it’s a solid GPU. Probably the best prebuilt I’ve seen until stepping up to like $800+.

I’d buy it, upgrade the cpu to 5600x3d if your balling on a budget later. I run a 6700xt myself and it slays 1440p

Seems like a good deal tbh. I don’t personally have any experience with CyberPower but I haven’t heard anything really condemning about them unlike some other pre-built companies. I’d say send it bud

This is pretty much the PS5 spec-wise, so for 100 bucks more having all the PC-specific goodies makes this worth it for sure

I’ve got an i5 12400f and one of them rx 6700 non xt cards and the only game I had an issue with with dips was Alan wake 2 but that game has insane requirements. It’s absolutely fine for 1080p gaming at 60fps. I paid over £850 for my build last year so $600 seems like a bargain to me.
The only thing I’d caution on, having purchased a Cyberpower PC myself, is that I wouldn’t be surprised if that RAM is a single stick of 16GB instead of 2x8GB. The system will function just fine with a single stick, but it’s not taking advantage of dual channel memory, so there will be performance left on the table.
I think he should go for it. If he ever wants to step up on the resolution/power, he has a clear upgrade path to a 5800x3d, and a beefier GPU like a 7800xt, or even a 5000 series/8000 series Nvidia/AMD future release. May need to upgrade that power supply, I don’t see what it has in it on the lisiting

Also can fit a Ryzen 7 5800x3D in that same socket and have quite a beast of a machine

It’ll get the job done
If it’s a single stick of RAM, buy another 16gb stick so it works in dual channel and he’ll have 32gb total

Lol I’ve been gaming for 5 years on a 1080 paired with a i7-4790k… I’m pretty sure this rig outclasses mine and tbh.. if money is tight but can afford it and really wants it, why not?
I’ve actually taken a look at this specific system at Walmart before and for $600, it’s actually quite solid. What you’d be getting specifically is a system with an:
– AMD Ryzen 5 5500 (already stated in the description)
– XFX Speedster Radeon RX 6700 (this specific GPU)
– 16GB of Team Group DDR4 (which I believe clocks at 3200MHz by default in these? It might actually run at 3600, but I don’t specifically remember)
– 1TB Western Digital SN850 SE NVMe SSD
– Gigabyte B550 UD AC motherboard
– EVGA 600 GD power supply
I’d yoink it for $600.
Edit: apparently these have some spec variation, but primarily concerning the motherboard and the SSD? Still, a solid buy for the money.

Honestly thats a great price. Being its a prebuilt I would just verify it does not have a sketchy PSU.
For the price it’s actually a really good deal, I’d tell the friend to jump on it. The CPU being AM4 gives your friend a good amount of wiggle room to upgrade within their socket if they find themselves needing some extra CPU power without having to change the mobo and ram as well.
Bargain.
My PC has similar specs all around. I can run just about everything at 60-120fps (depending on game obviously) tell him to go for it, seems like a good deal
That’s a fine build, especially for the price. He can easily swap out the CPU later. I’m still on an R5 2600 and yeah, it’s not fantastic or anything, but I can still play all the games I want to with no issue. Depending on his use case this should be more than adequate.
