It’s not that I don’t appreciate the other 4, but i feeI like PL not getting it’s soundtrack nominated can only mean that it wasn’t listened to.

100% PL composer should have been nominated. I still have that song from the Firestarter quest stuck in my head.

  2. 1337K1ng

    Haha no.

House of Hope Raphael boss fight theme clears it alone

  3. TheMechanic04

No it was an expansion the game was released 3 years ago

  4. Tobsen85

Not really. It’s strong competition this year.

Vaguely relevant but there was an indie game called Stray Gods that came out this year that centered entirely around interactive music meshing the story and the songs together seamlessly. The fact that it got completely snubbed especially in the music category is a downright injustice to me, like it got a fucking Grammy nom but nothing from the Game Awards.

Hard to say, full game? Cyberpunk. But we are talking about phantom liberty. If I had to compare phantom liberty and bg3 I would pick bg3.

  7. Scouper-YT

Always getting Robbed that is the Way of Big Corp.. But We are Still good!!

  8. I think BG3 should be there. I don’t know about Final Fantasy and Zelda. The others should indeed be there.

Am I the only one who wasn’t all that impressed with BG3’s soundtracks?

Like it’s decent but I’ve not found any track that was memorable, compared to say, Dark Souls 3 or Bloodborne.

Is there a nomination for DLC of the year and is phabtom liberty there?

If it is, no not robbed.

If the category doesn’t exists it should.

If the category exists but it isn’t there then something is wrong indeed.

I mean, nominated? Sure I guess, But BG3 takes it everytime. The music is so damn good, I dont remember one single track from PL, but I can remember plenty from BG3.

I dont understand why people are getting salty about BG3 absolutley steamrolling awards, whether you pesonally like the game or not it truly deserves it, we’ve not had a game release of this scale to this quality in a long time, it truly deserves every awared it gets, its showing us what video games can be as oppose to all this BS Live service, microtransaction ridden garbage that has infested the industy.

Raphael’s Final Act should win 5 years in a row into the future.

  13. Like17Badgers

couldn’t be nominated for best score cause this wasnt 2077’s release year

  14. PADDYPOOP

I can’t name a single notable song from any of those games 😭. What the fuck were they thinking?

  15. Provoked-Legacy

I love cyberpunk and I love PL and I love Idris Elba and he recent works but, Baldur’s gate was just one big emotional crazy ride the whole time and I believe Larion completely deserve this award. Mind you I have like probably 200 hours on BD3 and like 600+ on CP and I’m STILL playing CP. but BG3 was definitely worth the few months.

  16. Sparrow1989

I mean ima be 100% honest. I won’t be bumping to aw2 or bg3 soundtracks when I’m either driving down the highway at fast speeds, making peoples heads explode, or sleeping with my employer. Just sayin.

Huge fan of Poets of the Fall, so I’m pretty happy to vote for Alan Wake. Their songs in that game are pretty incredible, and the way they modify the pacing of the song to match the players actions and progress in the level is amazing. They did the same thing in Control as well, which was another fantastic game.

  18. Kankaner

    Yes.

Also, what the hell is this BG3 circlejerk? Every single comment not agreeing with a notion that this game is perfect gets downvoted to hell

  19. MegaDoomerX3

If Cyberpunk 2077 had come out this year and not DLC for it, then it would have 100% been nominated. But it’s an expansion, and I’m sure they had to favor full releases.

  20. McGlaargle99

We? What’s, your name so I can look for it in the credits?

  21. Alien_Cha1r

I do agree. BG 3 has my favorite soundtrack of all time next to Gothic 3, but Phantom Liberty’s music was still fantastic.

  22. Dukesage

No because cyberpunk didn’t come out this year.

  23. hardlyreadit

they were already nominated and lost in 2021

  24. tunmousse

I think PL suffered a bit from very low radio volumes in the first released version. I’ve played through the whole thing, and I don’t recall a single one of the new tracks.

  25. TerminalThiccness

    No.

    >!DOWN DOWN DOWN BY THE RIVEEEER!<

  26. CookieTheEpic

I’d buy a nomination for Phantom Liberty but Alan Wake 2 should absolutely run away with this one.

  27. wichu2001

every song in PL is incredible, goty for me for sure
