I have a strange feeling these guys were gonna be the cyber ninjas who were gonna hunt V and Jackie down after konpeki plaza.
No clue, but goddamit there’s *sooo* much cut content I wish they’d kept in. I’d love to be able to ride taxi’s or AV’s around NC

They look very similar to the Assassins that chase you and Takemura on the Highway, just different color on their skin and Cyberware.
I remember before the game was released there was a theory that they were three [Brainiacs](https://cyberpunk.fandom.com/wiki/Brainiacs?so=search) in a [Combat Cab](https://cyberpunk.fandom.com/wiki/Combat_Cab?so=search). We know now however that the Brainiacs were wiped out in the DataKrash so its probably not so.

it would make sense in a game like this to have a taxi, Delemain (not sure how they are in the lore) seem like a very expensive alternative. Taxis like this could be for people with less money that can’t afford a delamain, but would still rather not walk everywhere.

the 2018 trailer was mostly, if not all, cool key visuals, I think on artstation one of the artists uploaded prior versions of each one.
They give a lot of flavor to the world, I am glad all of that did end up in the game one way or another, you can encounter lesser versions of those borgs around NC (with realskin rather than that matte white) and I swear I’ve seen the cab driver in a bar. there’s concept art for him on Artstation as well.
