I’ve always been a console player but I am wanting to build my first pc. Will probably go AMD chip like the 5600, but haven’t decided. I’ll be playing MW3, WZ, Fortnite, and probably some others I haven’t thought of trying.

Trying to keep the build under $1000 but I also want a quality PC

Hello joshinman23, and thank you for your submission to Gaming PC! If you are new please check out our rules over at the wiki [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/gamingpc/wiki/rules)!
We have recently added the useful feature of Title Flair! You can set this manually by clicking Flair under your post once you have submitted your post, but if you missed it in the rules there is a much better way that will automatically flair your post!

To do this simply add what your post is about in brackets before your title. For example for a Build Log you can type [Build Log] before your post so that it looks like this; [Build Log]My new awesome build!, and the bot will automatically set your flair to Build Log! This works for Build Log, Build Showcase, News, Hardware News, Hardware Release, Discussion, and Miscellaneous!

Also remember that this is a place for discussing and sharing our love of Gaming Computers! This is NOT the place for help building or determining what parts you should buy, that is better suited for /r/buildapc. Troubleshooting questions should be directed to /r/techsupport. Thank you again!

  2. If you wanna keep it under $1k and still be able to play those games at 1440p, AMD all the way. The RX 6700XT gives 3070 performance for a little bit more than that 3060 you’ve got there.

    Here’s a list.

It’s 960 dollars and trust me it’s WORTH IT. You’re building a 1000 dollar build so it’s best not to build on a dead platform so I upgraded you to am5 Ryzen 5 7600 (performance boost is significant). Got you a Rx 6800, performs on par or maybe slightly slower than the Rtx 4070. Other than that everything else is your choice. Btw with the extra 40 dollars I suggest you get a more aesthetic case to your taste or my preferred route, get more storage cuz 1tb gonna fill up sooner than you think. Another option is to upgrade to 32gb of ram.
