  1. I would use the router to stream my games from my PC to my Android TV! WiFi 7 would help tremendously to reduce latency and stutters!

  2. Archanj0

I would use this to upgrade my WiFi and play games on my Steam Deck!

  3. AnxiousJedi

I would finally get rid of the pos router I have now. The 10 gig Ethernet ports sound wonderful!

  4. Tilanguin

I will use the router firewall capabilities to block every big corporation attempt of luring us with giveaways and scraps for advertising!

  5. sad that it’s US and canada only. gl to the people who can participate

  6. umnikke8

This would replace my current Wifi 5 router that has a few issues.

Multi-link operation is a great feature, hoping it works out well in practice.

I have acquired a smart home over the years of purchasing network smart products. The use of the tri band would help a lot with some of the products I have. I will definitely be taking advantage of that subscription free service for security being that I pay now for the Armor… It really should be a free service and I love that ASUS does that with their routers. This would definitely help with the coverage in keeping my devices connected with the antenna’s it has. Not sure I could take full advantage of the wifi 7 yet as I don’t have many products with that in them but I’ll definitely future proof the home with this product for sure!

  8. Chakramer

My router is ancient and I can’t download anything and play something at the same time. This would be a massive help, and I think my roommate would appreciate it too

  9. zaxanrazor

Are you actually going to send out the prizes this time, ASUS?

  10. itsSwils

Definitely like the roaming mesh. My poor old nighthawk isn’t making the cut anymore now that it’s gotta cover more than a 1BR apartment. Beefy new router would do wonders for coverage.

The Dual 10G ports will be nice. My new home will be wired with Cat 8e so the internal transfer speeds will be amazing. Modern equipment would be nice to have after using my thrift store dual band for many years.

  12. illybang

Our Wi-Fi router has gone through its paces for the last several years and this beast of a router would definitely help me put the old chap out of its misery. MASSIVE upgrade!

And this… ” WiFi 7 introduces all-new ultrawide 320 MHz channels, doubling data transmission capacity. You can think of networking as a virtual freeway and the doubled bandwidth as a doubling of the number of lanes. Now larger vehicles are allowed to get on the freeway and can pack more data than ever before.” SHEESH!

    Thanks for the chance!

    * **What you will use the router for or why it will help upgrade your setup.**
I am using a 10 year old router with Wi-Fi 5 that requires a restart when it randomly won’t allow my mobile devices to reconnect if I leave the range. I stream on Twitch with a 2 PC setup and several consoles and phone cams over wifi that will all see significant improvement from a new router that I can not afford or justify at the moment.
    * **State (at least one) of your favorite product features mentioned in** [**this product page**](https://www.asus.com/networking-iot-servers/wifi-routers/asus-gaming-routers/rt-be96u/)**.**
802.11be for sure! Although I am not even sure if my phone supports Wi-Fi 7, it certainly can use 6E. That 6 GHz will help with living in a network congested apartment building.

  14. me want significantly better wifi router. now.

  15. Creative_Decision_74

I would replace and old router I have been using for years.

Next-gen WiFi Standard is what I am interested in.

  16. super_sleepy_slug

This will be perfect to replace our old router that we currently have. My favorite feature is the parental controls because my kids are young and still need to be monitored on the internet

  17. I would use the router to upgrade the quality of wifi in our home. Wifi 7 devices will most likely be more common in the upcoming years so having a router to support those devices early would be amazing.

  18. kevinwhite195

I would use this router for streaming PCVR to my Quest 3 and future VR headsets.
The low latency and 6Ghz band would be a big upgrade over my current AC router. WiFi 7 will be huge for game streaming as we get more WiFi 7 devices. The 320mhz channels sounds insane.

  19. BeerGogglesFTW

I would use the extendable Wifi7 to communicate with aliens in outer space. I assume that’s the kind of range with all of those antennas.

If that’s not realistic, I’m sure it could improve game streaming for my girlfriend who like to play PC on couch/TV.

  20. Anything-Traditional

Would use to reduce lag between 20+ devices connected. Faster file sharing, download and upload speeds to produce better game streaming quality.

Nice feature, would be good to extend my wireless. currently half of my house has a not so great connection.

    * **AiMesh Extendable Router** – Enables whole home seamless roaming with rich, advanced features

  21. SBABakaMajorPayne

I’d really like to stop using my 10yr old netgear router and see how much improvement in my PC gaming I get from this ASUS state of the art unit

    &

I also want to try out the **Advanced Parental Controls** – Protect your kids online with instant monitoring, content filters and customized settings for every connected device , so I can limit my son’s usage & times he’s online. That would be awesome.

  22. There’s dead areas in my house and I think this would be the perfect solution! The basement would be then stable enough to have back to back battlestations fo the lady and I. So for me, its the whole home seamless roaming with rich, advanced features.

  23. I would get rid of my ISP router and have a decent QoS

  24. Shojinko007

Upgrading my current setup will help with the random drop outs we get with having so many different devices. The parental features are great as well as the linking bands.

  25. I would finally be able to stretch my wi-fi coverage out to my last smart bulb! And stream content more reliably.

I like that it has parental controls built into the router – a lot harder for kids to bypass (hopefully!)

  26. I recently upgraded to fiber internet but still have an old router that can’t fully support the speeds I have now. The RT-BE96U looks incredible and my 2 level home would appreciate the range it offers.

  27. JulietPapaOscar

I would use it to finally have seamless wireless PCVR capability!

And it’s great because by having the wifi 7 standard (finally!) I can future proof my setup and still allow my mom to stream all her K-dramas she desires without a single hiccup
