One thing to take not of is that people who like the game are playing it. They people who have issue are normally the ones online complaining.

I’ve had to start Unsubbing/Muting communities here because while I like to visit a subreddit of a new game to stay up on patches and news, the overwhelming majority of negative gaming posts that get recommended on my main feed just for visiting once sucks.
Everyday I am seeing people complaining or calling some aspect of a game the worst thing ever and I realized these posts were influencing my feelings about certain games and made me not want to play when before I was really enjoying it. Also many times the “community outrage” is a very small vocal minority when you realize the people enjoying it aren’t making an entire post let alone even commenting to defend it. By all means “make your own opinion” but also realize humans are very susceptible to subtle influence when left unchecked.
