Which is significantly different than how it actually went down.
This is like reading Shakespeare and thinking “man, this story would have been so much better if they just killed Hamlet in the very beginning”

I don’t think CDPR writers are petty like that, but it just feels like they did this ending for people who complained about V not surviving 100%. Something like ” Oh you want V to survive? You will wish you didn’t, but here you go” And then just made it as bleak as possible, ignoring all logic and story flow. At least I hope they are not.
Reed even tells you ” take care of your pets and stuff” and V just ignores it.
There is no pay in advance for your apartment in 2077? You must pay each month manually?
You return to Night City unarmed? Sure, why not. Lets be even more suicidal.
You can’t ask Reed to inform your friends, partners about your progress? Yeah sure he’s not your secretary, why would he.
When you have a story written in a believable way, all the way through, something like this ending, that just ignores everything, sticks out and pokes you in the eye.
It was unnecessary, forced and waste of time. A shame, since they put so much detail in everything else, 2.0 and Phantom Liberty.

The fact that Victor is only one that actually asked V to visit him immediately and showed concerned to V’s future is just so damn depressing, I have no issue with kerry because he has that rockstar way of life and Panam is just Panam or she could be dead, but fucking river and judy, “hey i just woke up from a 2 year coma” their response “I know you help me on my time of need but you’re on you’re own now choom”. Of yeah Misty did talk to V for a while. The only thing that I like about that ending is the fact that Rouge is the one that bought V’s pet cat and iguana and took care of them.

Because this is totally what V did in the Arasaka ending, right? Oh yeah, but in that one there was no coma that V could obviously predict, although the doctors told him everything will be ok. And of course players were so angry in the Arasaka ending, that V didn’t inform anyone they’re going to some clinic for operation.
Not informing anyone that V goes for Arasaka operation: I sleep
Informing the loved one V is out for about a month (because they go for NUSA operation): Real shit

Tbh my biggest issue with that ending is that you delete Johnny completely and you don’t kill Smasher. Deleting Johnny after his redemption and becoming a good friend of V just hurts much more than loosing Panam or Judy at that point.
