Anyone else just leave him there?

Yup, must have sat there for a month of gametime easy while I was doing other stuff. 😁

  2. Lady_bro_ac

I go there fast, so I can get my cat and begin the iguana waiting game

  3. artibius

This diner part is important for proper Johnny appearances in side missions. So you’re missing out a bit…

  4. eftalanquest40

i usually have him waiting at the docks because the diner conversation unlocks a couple of things

  5. evil_timmy

He really likes the noodles there, don’t worry. The 2077 in the title is when I’ll finally be good and ready to collect him.

Is anything in this game really worth stalling other than meeting Hanako at Embers?

  7. BeardedNerd95

Bruh, I’ve left him waiting for the meeting with Oda for so long now lol.

  8. katastrophyx

Do this one quick to open up the rest of the game. Leave Hanako at embers until she fucking croaks.

  9. I meet Takemura at the motel with Hellman well before I meet him at the docks, but I meet him at the diner PDQ.

I go talk to him right away so the rest of the map unlocks. I waste enough time in Watson before the heist, by the time I finish that I’m itching to get into the rest of the world. Once he walks out of Toms Diner it will be months before he sees me again tho.

Used to do this in my previous playthroughs until i found out Johnny starts appearing in your gigs after you meet Takemura at Tom’s Diner..

I used to always clean the whole Watson before doing the Heist but not anymore.

  12. always talk to him first to open up things in games

then leave him waiting on the road

  13. Auspex86

Never, because then Johnny doesn’t appear in gigs and side content.

  14. StingyMcDuck

That’s something that could be easily solved plotwise if the characters told you “Give me a call when you are ready” instead of always saying “I’ll be waiting at X place, don’t be late”.

  15. The other day I was walking along the sidewalk doing whatever. As I passed a parked truck, River, seated in said truck, greeted me as though I had come to speak to an informant with him. I decided to play along just to avoid embarrassment. Ended up finally doing I Fought the Law.

  16. NotThatDucker

Going to be waiting a long time since my discs stopped spinning

Is there a reason not to move the story along around the time of Takemura? I am a very new player and I felt Act 1 was very quickly over. In Act 2 I have been doing a lot more walking around and just started on side missions and killing yellow-hat perps (not sure what else they are called) etc. Occasionally I will go back and do parts of the main story, but is there a reason I _should_ hold off?

  18. jasontodd67

me but hes waiting under that bridge still

  19. wicked_Jester115

I must’ve left him there for like 2 -3 weeks in game time 😂

  20. Paves911

I would never leave Takemura waiting. Hanako on the other hand…

(Also I want as much Johnny content as possible so i usually rush the main plot up too the diner meeting with Takemura)

  21. mateusmr

I hate when sandbox games inject urgency in the mq.

  22. doxtorwhom

I meet him immediately so I can start incubating my iguana egg.

The iguana is the true end game.

  23. KevinKingsb

I actually saved Takemura my current playthrough. Didn’t know you could do that.

  24. Loose-Sign598

I do this quick. I usually make Hanako wait in the hyperbolic time chamber

  25. mirrinto

Every time I go there I feel like I need to hear someone say “It’s always nice to see you”

  26. rCerise666

Yeah fuck Takemura, in fact, i kill Oda and let him die at the building, punk-ass corpo dog
