Widow’s Wine, purely because of the theme and branding of it is so spot on

Widow’s Wine has the better aesthetic, and being able to use it more often is a big point in its favour. Plus it increases melee damage, which is just icing on the cake. Winter’s Wail’s only advantage is that it doesn’t kill zombies, meaning you don’t have to worry about that when holding one for something. It doesn’t even have its own jingle. Widow’s is the clear winner.

Just the fact winters wail doesn’t activate on the first hit makes it better. Winters wail actually saves you Widows Wine is an annoyance. No I don’t want one of my four uses to go to one stray zombie I can easily run past while I’m doing a quest. No, I don’t want to stop everything I’m doing and kill said zombie to get a slight chance of getting it back because odds are ill have more zombies on me in a few seconds so if I do get it back I’ll probably lose it in a second anyway. Oh and I only get two back every round instead of just all of them? Awesome! I find myself always being actually saved by winter’s wail and annoyed by widows wine.

Aesthetically? Definitely widow’s wine.
How strong is the perk? Winter’s wail and by a mile, it’s genuinely the strongest perk in all of zombies if you put it on modifier, it makes every game a fucking joke with how OP it is.
It has 4 charges, it doesn’t activate on the first hit so you don’t waste it, you cannot run out of it on a round because it recharges on a timer instead of drops like widows wine, if you put it in the modifier, when you get hit you get an initial explosion that freezes the zombies, then you get a mist around you that slows down zombies for like 6 seconds.

Winters wail absolutely. Getting swiped one measly time rave training is both inevitable and non threatening. I would much rather have it trigger only upon the second hit. That way the ability is conserved (roughly) twice as well, and has more potential to save your life more times. I use words like roughly and potential because there are still of course scenarios where widows wine would save you instead, but I think more often than not winters wail is my personal pref

does widows wail have the same knife attack as widows wine? because on that judgement alone id have to pick Wine. the knife is niche to be sure but it is handy in certain situations especially if you bought the bowie knife AFTER

BO4 has something BO3 doesn’t: Dying Wish. Winters Wail is better than widows on it’s own, but Dying Wish just makes it broken

Winter’s wail is literally better in every single way. Doesn’t activate unless your already damaged saving unnessessary activations, zombies don’t die to it so you can’t accidently end the round and most importantly it recharges over time
