Anyone have retractable cable management recommendations for the headphone cord for when I am not playing? I’m getting a mount to hang the headphones from underneath but looking for a retractable option to hide the cable when not in use.

Look into VR headset cable management reels. It won’t retract the cable itself, but will hold up any extra slack when you take your headphones off and let it extend when needed instead of yanking. The ones I use for my headphones are made by Kiwi Design fwiw—no complaints. Looks like you don’t have the option of swapping headphone cables with what you have.
Given how little lateral space you have underneath desk, I’d be looking for wall mounted hangers instead.
i used a lighter leash with the lighter part removed and a slip knot over the center of the cable, attach the other end to your desk and it wall reel in the cord. shortly after that i just switched to wireless it was worth it
