So I got a Ryzen 7 7800x3d, this was the suggested cooler to go with it. My gut feeling of buyers remorse hit. Will this cooler be enough or should I go with something else?. Help me out with suggestions.

If you’re looking at both of the parts why not try it out yourself and see how you feel?
I can tell you that if it can’t handle the 7800x3d it won’t be to any sort of catastrophic level or anywhere close, it’ll just be you eyeing temps and going *”hmm – I’m not happy with these and will probably buy another cooler”* if that at all
I would personally go for a Thermalright peerless assassin or phantom spirit. It’s really not a very power hungry cpu but I still would feel better having a double tower.
I’d say that won’t work. A single tower cooler with that CPU could lead to a very noisy fan curve and/or throttling.
I have been running a ryzen 7 with the cooler fan it came with for years, no problems.

It should be able to handle it, it’s just gonna be loud
I have a ak500 on a 12700k and it keeps it cool as can be max I have seen gaming is 60C that chip is far more power efficient than mine

It was suggested I was silly running the 5800X3D with a Be Quiet! Pure Rock Slim 2 but I average 72-76C at 1440P with a 7900XT in small-ish case. It never throttles.
If your case cooling is good (mine is) this can work just fine IMO.
Get the Phantom Spirit.

Thermalright Forst commander 140 is the best.
Arctic Liquid Freezer II 280mm is overkill…great for the motherboard VRMs though.
I have the bigger brother ak620. Great cooler but a bit loud. Might go AIO in the near future

My 5800x3d was not being adequately cooled by the ak400 so I would recommend getting the ak620 or an aio
That cooler is plenty enough for the 7800x3d.
I’ve seen some 7800X3Ds running on an L9A, the ak400 is perfectly adequate
X3D is easy to cool you could probably get away with a literal potato if positioned properly.
You’ll be fine. Sure I’m only running a be quiet Pure Rock 2 on mine.
I went with an AS500 Plus for my 5800x3D and I deeply regret it because of the overall volume of the thing. Even in VR, or even sitting far away and wearing headphones, the sheer volume of sound that fan puts out bleeds through. Spend a little more and enjoy the sounds of silence.
It’s plenty. You really don’t need a 10lb tower of fins these days, the fans work really well. You could run that chip on a low profile Noctua and still be able to overclock it safely as long as your case fans are properly installed to actually dump heat
Peerless assassin or frozen notte pair well with the 7800x3d, price/performance is great.
