    Tried gently blowing it off? Ie compressed air from a distance?

  2. As long as the pins and lands are making good contact and nothing’s conductive in there, it doesn’t matter what else is going on.

    That said, how do you get so much crap *in* a socket?!

    If that CPU is getting sandwiched by thermal paste under the socket and in-between the IHS and the CPU cooler, that thing should stay colder.

    That aside, how on Earth did you do that, and if someone else did it, may I know where they live? Florida, maybe?
