Enjoy the build, definitely had budget for a 4090 instead though!

    Good luck.

You spent so much money on everything else, i honestly would have gone for a 4090 and trimmed the budget elsewhere.

bro you dont have to match brands. in fact you get a better product overall if you buy the product each manufacture makes best.

  4. Return that 4080, don’t ask why just do it

….4 hours later he’s shoving cables into the case with a shovel…

  6. Amazing build pretty close to my dream build.

Enjoy! I almost built the same but swapped out some Asus stuff last minute l (found much better value with the PSU and AIO) and got myself the 4090 instead. You could’ve done the same given the budget. Nevertheless, it’s an amazing system you’ve got there.

You don’t need luck, you have enough money.

Looks good, man. I have a 4080 also, and it runs great. Ignore the “should have got a 4090” spammers. Enjoy your card and build, and if you choose to turn it in for a 4090 in the future, then that’s great, too! 🫡

Wow awesome, I dig the rog theme.

Post a picture when it’s done!

I bought almost the same parts, but for the 4080 I got a cheaper tuf used for $1500 cad then flashed it to a strix bios. The strix is like $1900 cad which is definitely closer to 4090 territory(300 more). Personally I didn’t want to shell out another $700 and 15% tax for a 4090 so I felt the cheaper route and flash was better. So far so great. Really like the board too. I got the ryuo iii cooler and I have to keep the screen off as it basically needs armour crate to function properly.

Also my 990pro with stock heatsink ran at 70c. Using thermal putty at 8.5w/mk and a sabrent rocket heatsink it dropped to 52 max. I recommend. Also recommend throwing some ux pro or cxh1300 13.5w/mk on the gpu and vrms if you oc at all. I have the same board and they run a touch warm with a noctua vrm fan.

  12. Enjoy your build I hope you get much happiness from your new PC!

That is something I need to learn. Often times I find myself rising through my builds, be it building a pc or a working on a project. I get too excited about the endgame and forget to enjoy the process.

    1000w for a 4080 lol. you can power 5 ikea’s with that

  15. Good luck and have fun, but I don’t like your case.

Getting a 4080 is like eating butt and not getting to smash

I’m detecting a theme, I just can’t put my finger on it.
