Love both their story’s and obviously anybody can gay but rivers is kinda quite dresses flamboyant and is emotional things I associated with gay guys while Kerry is hot headed and rocker boy which I associate with straight guys Kerry being bi also makes but def not straight up gay
Like I was so sure I was gonna be able to romance rivers I felt like I actually got rejected Judy on the other hand is 100% gay I didn’t even try with her

Why else does he so clearly create a situation where male V would think he wanted to be kissed only to shamefully chicken out at the last minute?

I’m pretty sure everyone get 99% the same dialogue so River feels like he’s coming onto male V despite not being into him.

River seems like he’s flirting with male V in Following The River, which got me confused, but when I went for the kiss and got shut down, well, that was awkward. But I’m afraid I have to disagree with you when it comes to Kerry. Being a ‘hot-head’ or a ‘rockerboy’ isn’t a straight thing or a gay thing. It’s a personality quirk that anyone can have. Also, the choice of wardrobe doesn’t make one gay or straight-leaning either. Straight men can rock a fur coat.
I have a theory the game was originally going to have a Panam option and a Rivers option and then they realized no liked Rivers so they added Judy and Kerry and straight women just kind of got stuck with Rivers.
Idc if River is gay or bi or pan, he still is the creepiest weirdo in whole Night City.

I honestly don’t see what you’re seeing. It sounds very much like old-timey mentalities about gay people you’ve got going on there. To me Kerry gives off lgbt vibes the whole game, but River doesn’t. I read that River dresses “flamboyantly”, but I don’t see anything flamboyant about him. He looks like he’d be perfectly at home playing football or something. Between a big, jacked cop with a strong sense of justice who plays by his own rules and a skinny, gaudy-looking rocker who projects an aggressive image of himself for protective purposes to the outside world, if you told me only one was gay I’d guess Kerry. He just gives off gay vibes, where River gives off straight vibes

Ive always been a believer that every romance option should be possible. I get that digital characters are set to have the preferences that the character designers envisioned Yada Yada Yada, but this is an rpg where it would be nice to love who you love and have it be okay regardless.
