I really want to get all the endings like i did 3 years ago, but it looks like to do that I’ll have to replay the DLC from the point just before you meet Mr Hands as that’s the last time I saved, which is quite annoying and will probably take me a while, especially considering I literally just played those missions so it’ll be much less engagung the second time round.

Yeah, I thought it was stupid too. Especially with how different the two endings

Personally I hate the „point of no return” in games. Just let me play the damn game and face the consequences of choices I make without telling me „bruh, you might want to save the game, there’s a major choice on the way”. Witcher 2 didn’t have any of this bullshit and you basically had 2 different games after a certain choice during Act 1.

  3. Think it was because you can play the normal game afterwards.
But I think there is an autosave when you are walking down the stairs, so you can load it and create a manual save or try the worse ending

Does anyone else say NOCTURNE OP55N1 like “nocturne opeeni” in their heads

Because it’s not a point of no return, getting on the AV to get the surgery is. There are no branches you take at this point that locks you out of completing other missions after it.

  6. Plenty-Comparison-41

It’s not the point of no return. You can still continue to play the game after this point

  7. A good idea is save the meeting with the voodoo for last because that triggers PL then make a save there so you can replay as you want. Thats what I did

  8. aclark210

Cuz depending on how u do things after this point, there might not be a new ending.

reloaded previous save and made a manual save when i saw the dialogue to betray either reed and songbird. need to see all em potential endings

  10. VeryFriendlyOne

I regretted it too. Had to backtrack to make a manual save there

You guys don’t keep multiple saves? I have like 10 that are cycled. Been doing this since fallout 3

I hate redoing stuff so I feel you. I would load your save and go do some other stuff before catching up again. It’ll at least be a bit more fresh and less tedious that way.

  13. It isn’t a “point of no return” because it isn’t endgame. You get locked out of quests but that goes for a lot of the game. Choosing certain dialogues or decisions can end entire questlines short, so it wouldn’t make sense to plaster a big text box telling you to save for every single one of them. Instead they make it pretty clear, especially in PL, when something important is happening and telegraph that you should consider what you are doing. Also, this is one of the few big decisions in the game that you can save in the middle of, at least that I can remember.

so you guys dont save every 10 minutes “just in case”? i am the only one….?

  15. Shell_fly

It’s because they wanted your decisions and choices to matter more with the DLC and feel the impact of them through it’s different endings, like a more in depth rpg. The whole plot line of PL focuses on tough morally grey decisions and those would be immensely neutered if you could just go back and replay each different path that easily.

  16. The Point of No Return is when you reach a point in the game where once you continue past it, that version of you can no longer go back and do everything else you’ve left behind

That is not this. Once you have done this mission, regardless of which path you take, you will still have full access to the open world, something that is not the case with either NOCTURNE OP55N1 nor with Who Wants to Live Forever, as these quests will actively lock you out of the open world until you roll credits

Because there’s still content tied to what happen post Firestarter, like choosing Dogtown new leader for example. That wouldn’t made any sense to go back to this point in time just to do it again.

The base game point of no return had a reason because you’re going straight into the ending.

Same here, and it seems that earlier saves are being overwritten because I remember saving before this mission but the file is to be seen nowhere

  19. EvillNooB

I don’t agree with putting point of no return notification there, but it would be better if game automatically created manual save just before choices like this one

  20. Serier_Rialis

3 endings as in scenarios? Arasaka, nomads, legend, solo variant of legend, cos you havethe bus ride ending too.

The PL new ending was just damn good, and amazingly traumatic all at once!!

Its somehow the bleakest and most upbeat all at once!

  21. fellipec

Well, isn’t a point of no return, you can finish the mission and keep playing the game, facing the consequences of your choice.

When you meet Hanako at Embers you commit yourself to end the game.

  22. Rimm9246

The game made it VERY CLEAR that there was a major turning point coming up when you would have to decide who you would side with. No, there was no pop-up saying, “heads up, you’ll have to betray someone in this mission, better save!” But unless you were literally skipping through dialogue, it should have been blatantly obvious. If you didn’t think to save before that mission, that’s on you.

  23. Dubstepbooty

I’m about to start the DLC soon, what part of the dlc is this so I can remember to have a save ready?
