If it is a 4090, be careful. If it isn’t, you’re good.
Long_Pomegranate2469
Pretty sure that’s exactly what they tell you not to do for a 4090

It would be better to go the 90 degree adapter route instead of bending it. It’s a real flakey connector design.
Bobsofa
That looks like less than the advised 30 mm. What card is it?
kykid1
It’s perfectly fine as long as you have the connector fully seated.

Is that the cable from beQuiet? I was looking into that, for my 4080
MegaspasstiCH
Yeah cause this is a PSU provided cable, im gona guess BeQuiet. The problem persists with the Nvidia provided Cable, im using a Corsair PSU Cable with about the same bend and its fine since 9+ months

Its fine what could go wrong

If you want peace of mind, get one of those 90° adapters.

Better than cablemod’s.

I’m getting so sick of these posts
hmital
So if you use cable from the PSU instead of the cable provided by Nvidia its safer ?
House_of_Dagoth
God these posts just keep getting more and more ridiculous . Why do you scared ass people build computers . Buy a prebuilt .

They will put the blame on you if anything goes wrong.

Close, closer than close.

I bought a 90 degree adapter for a similar issue, and it’s been working great.
SuperCool_Saiyan
They should’ve recalled all 4090s as a fire hazard
moonmushroom30
That actually looks kinda cool 😎
Dbear_son
Completely fine

It’s perfect 👍🏻

If GPUs are going to stay this gargantuan. I’d appreciate it if manufacturers put the socket at the end of the card from now on.
thissiteisbroken
It’s fine. This is how I’ve had mine connected for months.
The recommendation is 2-3cm before you bend the cable so there is no pressure on the actual connectors. This looks within that guidance. You can also just pick up a 90 or 180-degree adapter on Amazon for like $20-30. I picked up an EZDIY-FAB adapter and has been working great for a couple months. No voltage issues even with a slight overclock on my 4080.
