At this point of the internet it’s just a war between adblock filters and website devs who wants to earn money for their servers. The strategy is simple – get as many ads as you can and MAYBE adblock won’t detect some of them.

I’ll never disable any adblock filters until it’s safe to do so, I’ll find another site instead.
Too many drivebys, potential risks to click on some malware loaded link and balls your life up.

Ads with “Download” buttons on websites where you are legit downloading something are disgusting and should be illegal.
I am by no means confused by them, but I can easily see the intentionally abused possibility of misunderstanding or misclicking and it is abhorrent. Especially when you are then brought to some site that attempts to look legit while offering you PUPs.
