    Maybe it would cool better if you use more thermal paste.

    Try to use a razor blade to straighten out the pins. I’ve fixed a friends cpu rather easily this way.

  3. None of them are broken, so they could bend back into shape. The end of a mechanical pencil is very useful for this.

    Use a scalpel, razorblade, creditcard, whatever it takes. Bend it to the entire row, not a single pin, or you will snap pins. You want to put force on the entire row, so that it’s spread evenly.

    Very easy repair if you take your time.

    Always twist the cooler off, don’t just yank it.
