Should have mentioned: @1440p on highest preset and with 99% utillization. But even this shouldn’t go that hard on a 6950xt

I’ve read today that they render teeth for every human on screen regardless of LOD/how far your camera is.

The performance is shit but I really do like the game. It’s pretty fun, although it shouldn’t have been released yet.

V-sync, Depth of field mode, Volumetric Quality settings and Global Illumination quality are currently broken. Turn them off to get performance.

90fps with a 4070ti at 1440p, high settings, just have to turn a couple settings off like depth of field and v-sync.

    Just saying.

Cities Skyline 2 runs EXACTLY the same as Cities Skylines 1 on my RTX 4070 TI. Same 20-30 fps with a really big city. And I can’t complain. This is not a shooter, it is not necessary to have 60 fps here. When I play CS2 at 20-25 fps I can’t even feel it. At the same time simulation speed of the city stays pretty high.

This current state of gaming and PC’s is fucking awful.

Starfied at max looks like a ps4 game but for some goddamn reason if you’re playing on anything under a 30 series, you’re stuck on medium.

    Top-end workstation pc’s can’t run City Skylines.

Unity making EA look like a charity.

Every dev gaslighting us about BG3.

Fucking FPS’s taking up 20%+ of our drives.

Motherboards costing $200+ for the low-end.

40 series of gpu’s being half-gen upgrades with a price hike.

13th and 14th gen intel cpu’s being nearly identical to 12th gen cpu’s.

Still no consistent options in the pre-built market.

Windows 11 killing off home/office PC’s (or at least forcing major RAM upgrades that the average end-user doesn’t understand).

    I’m tired man.

1 setting. Turn off depth of field. Enjoy 200% more Fps.

It runs like a whale doing a 100m sprint.

Turn down some of the settings

They messed up by defaulting ultra. I get about 50 fps 1440p with a 6800xt by turning some stuff down. Which is 20fps more than a the game honestly needs.

Which is somehow better than CS1 where no matter how good your gpu is you never get better performance.

CS2 will be optimized and have a chance to improve over time.

Strange I get 40-50 with an RX 6900 XT

If you turn most of the settings off except for shadows you should get around 44 FPS with a city of 3000 people
