Yep, I’m out too. DVD player and box sets are set up ready to go.

  2. StayTuned2k

Give it a few moments, some blocker will circumvent this soon.

  3. Hey OP! Look at the pinned post on the ublockorigin subreddit.

Ad blockers still work fine with YouTube. At least uBlock Origin does.

  4. Surviving2021

I got the same pop up today only on a few videos that I watched.

The difference is mine just has an x in the corner that I can close and the video continues to play. It doesn’t actually prevent me from watching videos it just lets me know that I shouldn’t be using the ad blocker.

So I’m going to keep using that blocker…

  5. Affectionate-Year185

Just Firefox with ublock origin, all “annoyances” turned on
That’s it, no more AdBlock message

  6. lmao, as if. You’ll either watch ads or wait for another ad blocker.

  7. marceloflix

I had that message too using uBlock Origin, but when I go to uBlock Dashboard and click Filter Lists then purge all caches and Update Now, it works again!.

  8. AttemptedBanBypass

For uBlock, purge cache or whatever it’s called

  9. here’s a workaround: have Brave as second browser where you don‘t log into your yt account. then simply drag and drop the youtube video url from your default browser to brave.

    edit: typo

  10. NeatOk1470

Imagine watching ads in 2023 🤣🤣
Get a VPN or updated ad blocker

  11. GipsyRonin

Also do not forget to use Rumble, give YouTube competition. Many channels have mirror channels there.

  12. CorellianDawn

I love how Youtube is pretending that it wasn’t video ad free for a full decade at least and hoping we all somehow forgot (hint: we didn’t).

  13. SaugaDabs

Make youtube premium like $2 and people *might* buy it

  14. machinationstudio

Use Firefox. You can default to DuckDuckGo as your search engine while you’re at it too. (That’s what I use for my personal machine. Some work stuff is still better in Google.)

  15. FeelingSquirrel5089

Always laugh when I see someone say this. As if they’ll just give up a streaming site they’ve watched thousands of hours of content on since they were kids lol

  16. Hotdogwellingtons

I cleared and blocked all cookies then never did sign back into my account and haven’t had issues since. I’m using chrome with ublock. Of course it’s a bummer not being signed into my own account but whatever.

  17. dogehousesonthemoon

Oh look, this fucking post again…

  18. AussieBirb

Alternate to a using an adblocker that may work:

    Click share.

    Click embed.

Click play on the embedded video.

Found out how to do this via a twitter post (Or X ?) made by someone using a avatar of an Indian looking guy.

If your adblocker can keep up with the nonsense than great, if not try the above.

  19. hotknives

If you have uBlock installed and still getting the YT message, go into settings, clear the cache and update. It should fix it, as it did for me.

  20. Fukhumanity01

Youtube makes enough money they don’t need anymore lol

  21. areyouhungryforapple

The sub with constant 4090 posts can’t afford a VPN+youtube premium lmao

  22. meltingpotato

This showed up last night for me on Firefox for the first time

  23. boospook1457

I haven’t gotten this message yet oof

  24. TrappedOnARock

“Guess I’m never using YouTube again”

Yeah good luck with that. Honestly though, if you actually go through with your principle here, I applaud that. Just find it hard to believe given it’s mostly about a matter of convenience and not want ing to pay the service for no ads.

  25. Suicidalbutbaked

everyone says “im never using youtube again” bullshit, you’ll be back in an hour

  26. Aggravating-Bag5639

People are being over dramatic. I spend more time on YouTube than literally any other video services. Netflix I’m my country is trash and is over priced. My friends and I have a YouTube premium family together we pay like R28 each which is like 1.4$. I’ve never had an issue being able to afford it. People will have like 4 streaming services but are to stingy to pay for YouTube. I don’t get why. YouTube music isn’t the best but you get two in one. If you don’t need music discovery it works fine.

    ![gif](giphy|3o72FfM5HJydzafgUE)

    Opera GX + ublockorigin

  28. Pastelek

I recommend using fadblocker just for YouTube. Ublock also works but you have to update it at least twice a day.

  29. ChineseNeptune

Never using YouTube again my ass, you’ll be back in an hour

  30. cyanideOG

Unpopular opinion. Just subscribe to YouTube premium. YouTube is an amazing platform which im sure many of you have used for education and entertainment. Ads allow anyone to upload and share content with anyone. For the small price of a few ads or few bucks a month you have access to all content and can pick and choose unlike other platforms like free to air TV.

By blocking ads you are choosing to take without contributing, relying on the fact others watch ads or pay premium.

Fighting this hard and stubborn to not pay the simple price of a meal each month for unlimited access is pretty pathetic. Considering how much value it contributes to your life.

  31. SkylarMills63

You’ll be back. YouTube always brings you back lol

  32. FoxInTime

Are we taking bets on how many more posts like this we’ll see?

  33. aliusman111

Are we seriously promoting YouTube to not have ads? TV channels can have ads and YouTube can’t? It sounds unfair.

me watching everyones adblock get hit but mines still functioning… For now…

  35. Holyhellupmyass

Cringe children who watch 10 hours of YouTube a day and can’t justify $10 a month

  36. Greennit0

I‘m sure YouTube HO will be devastated to read one of their non-revenue generating users won’t generate traffic anymore.
