The first part certainly has some cyberpunk elements. The game however is much more than Midgard and the Shinra Corporation.

I thought about this recently when I remembered that shin ra is an energy company with a PMC outfit and experimental super soldier program enforcing their policies, though like what other people are saying it isn’t really cyberpunk but definitely has elements
