No need to talk shit on path tracing because that’s a truly revolutionary graphics tech in terms of real time rendering.
That said, the performance numbers without RT/PT are pathetic. You need a fucking 4090 to break 144fps at 1080p even without RT. And then consider how many people own cards towards the bottom of the chart, like the 3060/4060/6700xt class cards, and look at those numbers.
I haven’t been following the game so I don’t know whether you get huge gains by turning down a setting here or there, but unless these games are like crysis in terms of innovation and fidelity, it’s starting to be embarrassing.

Path tracing is a 4090 exclusive feature in my book. Even then, It might not do 1440p at 60, I usually like 90+ fps when the mouse controls the camera directly.

Easy solution, don’t use path tracing. Just because new gpu expensive tech comes out doesn’t mean you should use it. Would you put racing tires on a Prius? Sure you could but with that acceleration they won’t be doing much.

I kinda find it interesting that the 4070 TI keeps up with the 3090 TI with half the VRAM, and the 7900 XTX is barely faster than the 3080 with 14GB less.
I guess this means 8GB is not enough anymore, but 12GB on the 4070 TI is not the handicap everyone says it is.
