If those pins are still fine on both sides, that client is a lucky human being. But in any case he should stay away from PC DIY permanently. Watching a couple how-to video can’t fix this, IMO.

In his limited defense it says AM5 on the retainer and LGA1700 in the upper right… I could see how a rookie could get confused lol
