What the hell is wrong with gaming specs these days?
Starfield needs top end PC
Cities:Skylines 2 needs a super computer atm
and now this :/

Did we just forget to optimize games or something?

What we are seeing is the evolution of the patch model of game development.
When high speed and ubiquitous internet connections allowed games to be easily patched, developers spent far less time polishing games and fixing bugs since they could always do so later.
Now we’re seeing the exact same thing with the advent of things like upscaling and frame gen covering for piss poor optimization.
Confident-Feeling-98
Just gonna stop buying games at this rate
coffeejn
This is just another sign that we cannot play new games these days. Better to continue to play old games until the devs optimizes their games to function on mid tier hardware instead of barely working with most expensive hardware.

Never buy games on release, wait 1~2 years until they finish the game and/ou launch a definitive edition or similar. Sometimes it’s ideal to wait even more.

r/Pokemonanime is leaking.

Upscalers ruined the gaming industry
Deimos_Aeternum
480p it is
cuntyourblessing
You all got that DLSS 3.5 right?…. Right?
germy813
My 8090ti 128tb i9 27900k 200thz all core with 2 million petabytes of ddr69 Corsair Dominatrix runs it perfectly.
Just upgrade your PC bro
kamran1380
Thats native res with full path tracing. 20fps on 4070 seems reasonable.
People just throw out the word “optimization” with absolutely 0 consideration of what this game is trying to achieve.
Alexboy778
We keep buying their games. They don’t care as long as keep buying them. People even pay 80 or 100$ just to play 2 days earlier. We are the ones making the mistake. STOP BUYING and you will see how they start working as it should be.

Alan wake 2 better blow people away with its graphics to be demanding this level of hardware. I get it, pathtracing blahblahblah But man most people are never gonna use pathtracing until years from now most don’t even use raytracing so idk guess we’ll have to wait and see
watchA2000
At this point only quantum computers are capable of getting decent fps at launch.
Time to make one
koordy
Native is dead. Get over it.
Aggravating-Mind-315
20FPS? That’s a little high isn’t it?
cooltiggers10
What’s Alan Wake?
stevengerrard18
Haha, poor you. I am getting 25fps on my 4070 ti

Amazing-Dependent-28
What is going on ? This shit is obviously false. You get 30 fps at max settings w/ RTX
I mean this was reported for weeks and you still purchased the product. Don’t be an idiot next time and stop encouraging low optimization
half-baked_axx
Man I’m happy I’m not picky and enjoy playing pre-2023 games at 4K native with my humble 6700.
Resident_Hill
The game is not even out.

Don’t you guys have quantum computers?
PrecipitousPlatypus
I’m not entirely sure where all the hype came from? I don’t recall Alan Wake being considered an exceptional game when it came out (read more about how people thought it was average), and the gameplay was at best so so.
evanalmighty19
Yeah technically 28 with full ray tracing and without using dlss
robbiekhan
Well no, just use DLSS and FG and get a much better framerate.
