What can I do to make this remotely usable? 😂

  1. Check that the desk, chair and screen are the correct height.

Open the window, or you’ll possibly get some headaches in that small space. Invest in drapes, so the sunlight doesn’t mess up your eyes.

That’s about it, without buying new stuff.

ANC headphones, or at least closed back headphones, will probably be a must that close to the washer dryer.

Put your PC in your room instead? Otherwise this is fine. It’s not like the laundry machines are running all day.

Build a SFF PC! Not sure it can get small enough to fit on that desk unless you’re willing to sacrifice a lot of GPU power (RTX 4060 single fan, I believe, is the best tiny GPU right now and hard to find). Otherwise small cases exist that will easily fit on a stool which you can tuck to the left of the desk. My workspace is only a little bigger than yours – enough to fit two monitors with the second hanging off the edge of the desk 🙂 Stool for a mITX SFF PC and arms for microphone and lamp. I also use a TKL keyboard. Getting rid of the numpad was strange at first but I don’t even notice it gone. So much more room for the mouse on a small space.

If things get hot in that corner (assuming the laundry is not running often or when you’re using the PC), just get a small fan. I assume the apartment has AC but corners like this can often build up heat. A small fan is all that’s needed to get things moving.

    Bro that’s some heaty room

Might I suggest a gaming laptop? Maybe game in other area

  5. zeus1911

The vibration from the washer and static from dryer would decimate a PC quickly.

  6. SphereWorshipper

I’m just speculating since you didn’t explain the reason for this current placement but if you were my new housemate and you wanted to put your PC in a communal space, I’d be annoyed, and I would tell you I was not cool with that. I don’t want to have to bump into you sitting there everytime I need to cook my dinner or use the kitchen facilities. Keep that in the privacy of your room.

  7. Look at the positives – there is a good chance of providing cooling (water from the network) LOL

  8. M1n1C0rnD0gs

Id be worried about moisture from the dryer/washer id avoid setting up my pc in there at all costs

  9. YerGodSterculius

Yeah, put the PC in the damn living room, where it belongs.

  10. Sell the washer/dryer. If you’re a true gamer, you won’t notice the stink.

  11. Comprehensive_Ship42

It’s not to bad . It could be worst some people don’t own a table or a chair and sit on the floor and play

  12. gravy_train101

Put it somewhere else. Like what the shit

  13. I’m sure we can setup a sweet watercooling solution with the washing machine

  14. Aftershock416

Why would you not have that in your room?

  15. ImSorryRumhamster

Might get humid in there with the machines

  16. CapableProblem6199

Do whatever bro. Moisture and electronics will be amazing. I hope your shit breaks so you think next time.

  17. Vibration could be bad for a PC, so ur washer dryer combo could be a risk.

  18. mrkoala1234

Well at least it’s not in the bathroom.

  19. TheDkone

I would definitely put a dishwasher to the left of the desk.

  20. PartyInvestment3537

Bro is going to use washing machine as a cooler 💀

  21. gregariouspangolin

Get a better job/promotion and GTFO of there. OTHERWISE, how comfortable do you feel about mounting heavy shit on walls?

  22. Juice_231

ROG Ally, Steam Deck or the Lenovo Go with that kind of space lol

  23. Ball_Full

It’s just dumb…. Just try to figure out a way to set it up in your room.
Something else to think about.. if I’m your roommate and every time I need to wash some shit I gotta think about whether or not you’re sitting there blocking the washer and dryer i would imagine that would get annoying af real quick.

  24. kurukikoshigawa_1995

big no no, even just to try. sorry to say this but tear it all down and find another way. but thats just my input so it means jack shit, its ur call in the end.

  25. Uzzerzen

Dust from cleaning the lint trap is going to be inside your PC

  26. FeedMeYourMemes14

Get a laptop and game somewhere else 😭

  27. noburgersforme45

Wtf is this setup lol bro put this in ur room don’t be that guy

  28. Relevant_Scallion_38

Uhh.. My younger cousin (17yrs old) has one of those loft bedframes that lifts his bed up like 5-6ft (like a top bunk). Underneath is enough room for his computer and game setup. Its like a slightly smaller version of [THIS](https://images.ctfassets.net/kthggqw6zjg4/6WV17WkQjoXMFBzc5BSlmI/61243c90fe39438ac7cb6ebe42165ac2/Gamer_Header.jpg?w=1000&h=790&fm=webp&fit=fill).

He is a 6ft 210lb football player and fits in his pretty well. I think his is able to hold 350lbs. So him with a matters and stuff on it weigh less than 300lbs.

  29. knowledgegod11

get some really good noise cancelling headphones

  30. christes

People are dunking on you, but it looks kind of cozy to me. It reminds me of when I was in grad school.

  31. Turn off the washer/dryer chime that plays when each load is done, those songs go on forever.

  32. trillakillaclown

Sell your pc for a laptop and only use that desk when it’s raining outside. You’re better off gaming on your bed than that mouse hole.

  33. coycabbage

Regardless of space I would get a pair of blue glare glasses and keep a bottle of water handy.

  34. morganstern

Put the monitor on top of the dryer like a standing desk

  35. idk, looks like a laundering operation setup.

  36. UltimateSWX

This is the second worse place you could have put your set-up. The first would be the bathroom.

  37. Known-Pop-8355

You’re gonna have so MUCH lint built up in your pc and lint CATCHES FIRE very easily

  38. EstusEnthusiast

My brother in Christ put that somewhere else
