If you find yourself questioning whether you should upgrade you probably don’t need to upgrade.

I only upgrade when it’s extremely obvious that I need to (like if I can’t play the games I want to at the FPS I want anymore).

  3. Yes. The only worst time to buy is just before the next gen releases. At least take the discount once the new stuff comes out.

You usually don’t need the lastest stuff all the time.

It’s why I got the 4090 and 13900k. Digital foundry saying it’s the best “deal” did it for me. I thought Nvidia aren’t going to do that again. So hopefully it’s going to last me at least 5-6 years

Usually after 5 years I think “I need a new CPU. I’ll buy when the new Gen comes out”

I’m gonna ride my r5 3600 until it just can’t do the job anymore baby

Probably a good idea to wait another 10 years so that you can get parts that can actually run the games they made this year

If your gpu is good enough you don’t need to upgrade. If it’s not then go ahead and upgrade, you DON’T need to have the latest thing.

I’ll replace my 9900 when they pry it from my cold, dead hands.
