For some reason Destiny 2 REALLY doesn’t like that i have an AMD card

  2. homeknopf

I am very glad I bought an Nvida even if it was way overpriced.
Edit: I have explaine dmyself well enough why I had choosen an overpriced GPU over my Dogshit of an AMD card

AMD user, never got a blue screen on Windows or Linux while gaming.

Got almost same performance on both Linux and windows, Linux is like a couple of fps worse cus it has to go through a translation layer.

I’ve actually had more issues with Nvidia than AMD. I won’t say it’s been perfect but they’ve definitely improved since the Rdna1 days.

  5. Mistmade

AMD: get its customers banned in competitive games by injecting.

  6. This meme is outdated by at least a decade, or people don’t still don’t know how to do clean driver installation.

I had occasional crashes and few blue screen errors with GTX1080 over 4 years I’ve been using it. Ever since I swapped to RX6900XT about 2 years ago I haven’t had a single problem with it (other than loud coil whine during first few weeks of usage) and I am often pushing this card to its limits in 4k.

Never seen so many braindead comments in one post. So many fanboys from both sides… Just get what’s best for you and that’s it, no need to throw tantrums lmao

  8. theuntouchable2725

RX 580 crashed from time to time, but my current 6700 XT is completely hassle free.

These sort of memes sort of kill AMD GPUs for those that are looking to buy one.

I’ve seen numerous posts when 7900 XTX released from people asking if the drivers are fine.

AMD’s Linux drivers are great because AMD aren’t the one’s making them, same with intel, and the opposite with NVIDIA. The best Linux drivers are typically not the ones made by big companies lol. I’ve heard AMD’s drivers on Windows are fine now though, I haven’t used them in a long while but I trust what I’ve heard. Will stick with Linux though, for reasons other than drivers 😉

  10. Absolutely love this sub if you would replace AMD with nvidia mods would delete this post (tried once in past).

  11. epicmomentis

my rx5600xt is running fine on windows

  12. mikehawkslong1337

This meme is so fucking accurate. I dual boot Linux Mint and Windows 10. On Windows, even while properly uninstalling drivers with DDU, I still get driver-related blue screens. Granted, it happens maybe once a month, but it’s still annoying. With Linux, on the other hand, I never had it crash, period.

  13. Weneeddietbleach

I don’t blue screen with my build. That said, what good is an FPS count when you can only play like 10% of the games out there?

  14. PipinoBiscottino

Used to have a full AMD build with Windows, never had a problem. I don’t get this meme.

  15. SerinceMatet

Do an nVidia on Linux vs Windows one next! Bonus points for actual accuracy and not fudd lore.

  16. Alucardhellss

People are still getting driver troubles?

The most I had Is windows sometimes resets my overclocking settings to default

    Which is barely an inconvenience

  17. auntarie

idk man I had more issues with my 1060 than my current GPU. Don’t get me wrong, I still think the 10 series is legendary, but AMD is nowhere near as bad as people make them out to be.

  18. passerbycmc

Recently switched from Nvidia to Amd on my last build never had a issue and use it daily

  19. ieatass805

AMD user resist telling everyone your drivers are ok challenge.

    (Impossible)

  20. BenTheGreat15

OP has definately never owned an AMD card lol
