Flip up = more leverage that are not finger tip bound. With a claw grip your fingers are not parallel with the desk.

This looks like engineering for the sake of engineering.
The concept is cool, but they’ve added unnecessary complexity to the design which increases the likelihood of it breaking.
The very definition of ‘Just because you CAN do something doesn’t mean you SHOULD.’

I’d use that for carrying the laptop around from meeting to meeting. /s

Lmfao I find more use for the ball thing on the keyboard than this mouse.
DenizenIV
Maybe it’s a stapler?

I kinda love that the laptop comes with a built in mouse wonder why more laptops don’t do this

That’s wild! I’ve always thought it would be good to have a sensor on the side of the laptop to detect your hand movements as if you were holding a ghost mouse
proformax
my guess: you put your fingertip in there to control it instead of cramping your hands?

someone’s bad take at trying to make it ergonomic? idk.. the size of that thing, not much can be done lol
You can tilt it up 45° so that you can use it while it’s tilted up 45°
Bonus points if someone know what laptop that is. Brand and model.
Scratch that. HP omnibook 300.
Thought it was a finger scanner
You can’t see that it turns into a stapler?
Maybe to make it more comfortable when using an angled bed desk?
I was gonna say because a lot of people use them at that angle but it’s so small you wouldn’t really use it / hold it in the same way.
Idk, maybe they did try it without and this way is just better
Maybe with it being so small they thought it might be easier on someone’s wrist etc when operating it
I guess its so you can hold it better by squeezing it between your thumb and ring finger?
It’s to monitor your heart rate after being flustered by witnessing such Marvel of engineering.
Imagine this, you keep your index finger on the mouse and your thumb holding it
It’s also a toenail clipper, you hooved Sasquatch.
