I was scrolling through marketplace seeing there was anything interesting when I saw someone was selling a “broken laptop” for $60. When I took a closer look, I saw the model number was visible and when I looked it up it turned out to be a zephyr g16 laptop body.
For 60 dollars, even if it didn’t work I would still be able to salvage the ram and nvme ssd.
Bought it and finally purchased the charger and now I have a 3rd battle station! (Home pc and an evoo 17” I got 4 years ago)
I’m planning on purchasing a new upper half and setting up with a new window. Then it’ll be time to put it up for sale. sometime you get lucky and a risky purchase pays out.

Got the 3070ti for 75 canadian rubles a few months back thanks to my old roommate being a dumce and turning eco mode on his psu and thinking his card was going bad by the time he noticed it he had the new one for a month and i have had the old one for about a week so he just kept the upgrade he got since it was a better card for the games he plays while streaming got lucky that day i would have gave it back if he said he wanted it back but he didnt so lucky me
This is common for MacBooks since the screens are so expensive. Nice you found a gaming laptop, 10 series GPU?
If you want to find a replacement screen make don’t cheap put since the specs can be good but you might get bad ghosting and tearing.
