Haha I got the same. Originally I thought it might be an issue but in over a year I’ve never pressed it by accident. Still a horrible place for a power button…
If you have SSD with your system, then disable Fast startup you can see on the screenshot.
You fatfingering isnt a design flaw. Crontab -e next to -r is a design flaw

Holy heck, I thught having in the top right, next to DEL and above Backspace was a terrible choice. This is worse!

Have you actually pressed it accidentally and had it actually go to sleep? Because I have a laptop with a power button like this, I have pressed it accidentally a few times and it did not turn off even once. Because it has to be held down for about half a second to work and just a quick tap is not enough
Which Psycho puts the power off button there?
Ideally it should be separate from all the keyboard buttons entirely up in the perforated area. But, at the same time… Sadly, judging from my experience running a IT support desk, most users of a Elitebook don’t know what the the F keys, pr scr, insert, delete, home, end, pgup, pgdn cluster of keys even do, so they will 99% of the time never even press anything up there. It would be 10x worse to put it in the top right corner.
